Sean Bellemeur, Bartone Bros. Racing Return to Winner’s Circle at World Wide Technology Raceway

Bartone Bros. Racing captured a decisive Top Alcohol Funny Car victory this weekend at the NHRA North Central Division 3 Regional event at World Wide Technology Raceway.

After two consecutive runner-up finishes, the team entered the event determined to reclaim the championship lead. Driver Sean Bellemeur and team owner Tony Bartone’s “Killer B’s” delivered, showcasing remarkable consistency with the “Pirate Ship” race car.

The team set a commanding pace early, posting elapsed times of 5.49, 5.49 and 5.46 seconds through eliminations. In the final round, Bellemeur defeated Chris Foster with a run of 5.47 seconds at 267 miles per hour, coupled with a sharp .023-second reaction time.

“A consistent car is always a good thing,” Bellemeur said. “A consistently fast car is a wonderful thing. Steve (Boggs, tuner) and the gang found something after Reading, and the car has been pretty awesome since. I like our momentum headed to Dallas for one of the biggest races of the year.”

Bellemeur emphasized the team’s focused, race-by-race mentality.

“One thing this team does a great job of is staying focused,” Bellemeur continued. “Obviously, a win is great for points, but we are focused on one thing: the next run. We know we have a great car and team. We know that if we keep turning on win lights, we will achieve our goal. We’ll let the people who count points do their job, and we’ll do ours.”

The driver extended his gratitude to the team’s supporters and crew.

“A big thanks to Tony Bartone for knowing what it takes and being willing to give us the green light to fight for a fifth Top Alcohol Funny Car Championship,” Bellemeur said. “A special thanks to Park Miller and Roger Dean Chevrolet for their support. Our guys – Steve Boggs with his experience, and the detail put into every in-between run by Troy Green, Nick Stoms, Justin Taylor, Garret Bateman, Brian Gawlik, Lauren McMaster and Matt Krebs – are the ones who turn on the win lights.”

The team travels to the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas, this weekend to compete in the JEGS Allstars event and the Texas NHRA FallNationals.

A huge thank you to our incredible team sponsors: Red Line Synthetic Oil, Roger Dean Chevrolet, Talon Air, LLC, NGK Spark Plugs, and Mastercam, along with our valued product supporters, Simpson Performance Products and Taylor Motorsports Products.
