In a significant move within the high-performance racing industry, Motion Raceworks has completed the full acquisition of Mark Williams Enterprises (MWE), a storied driveline manufacturer with over six decades of history. The Iowa-headquartered company now owns 100% of the Colorado-based firm, integrating MWE's expertise into its expanding lineup of specialized brands.

Established in 1964 by drag racing pioneer Mark Williams in Denver, MWE evolved from humble origins in a modest workshop—where Williams refined his machining talents at John Bandimere Sr.'s speed shop—into a powerhouse with a 32,000-square-foot operation in Louisville, Colorado. Renowned for its cutting-edge designs and superior build quality, MWE has long supplied essential components like axles, driveshafts, modular rear ends, housings, brakes, yokes, and thirdmembers. These products serve diverse sectors, including drag racing, oval track competitions, off-road applications, and street performance enthusiasts.

Doug Cook, CEO of Motion Raceworks, expressed enthusiasm about the deal: “MWE has been crafting some of the world's top-tier driveline parts for over 60 years. We're thrilled to uphold that tradition and harness Motion Raceworks' resources, reach, and promotional power to propel the brand ahead.”

This latest acquisition bolsters Motion Raceworks' portfolio, which already includes notable additions such as TBM Brakes, RIFE Sensors, Gspot Sensors, and R&R Oil Pump Systems. MWE will maintain its operations at the existing Colorado site, preserving its experienced team and commitment to American-made excellence. The integration is expected to accelerate innovation across Motion Raceworks' brands and enhance internal manufacturing efficiencies.

“Our strategy is straightforward: preserve the hallmark of excellence while pushing boundaries in racing innovation,” Cook added.

By incorporating Mark Williams Enterprises, Motion Raceworks is poised to dominate more of the performance driveline and braking landscape, influencing the next era of racing technology.
