XDA Crowns 2026 Champions After Weather Cuts DME Racing Fall Nationals Short
For 26 years, XDA has been built on one promise: when the gates open, the series will do everything in its power to give racers a race. Through brutal heat, rain delays, long nights and every curveball drag racing can throw, XDA has continued to find a way.
But 2026 tested that resolve in a way few seasons ever have.
A nor’easter turned what began as a beautiful forecast for the DME Racing Fall Nationals at Maryland International Raceway into a moving target. Conditions shifted by the hour, and after two rounds of qualifying and Friday night’s completed Pro Performance Gamblers Race, XDA was forced to make the painful decision to end the event before eliminations could begin, a first in series history.
It was a devastating conclusion for XDA owner and promoter Jason Miller and another difficult chapter in a season that had already taken more than its share from racers, teams, sponsors and track crews. Two of the six scheduled events, the Platinum General Services Spring Nationals at MIR and the FuelTech Bike Bash at Rockingham, had already been lost to weather before they ever began.
But if one thing defined the 2026 XDA season, it was persistence. Racers kept showing up, teams kept fighting, and championship battles continued despite everything Mother Nature threw at them. When the final points were calculated from the completed portion of the Fall Nationals, the numbers told the story: championships separated by just two points, titles decided by one-tenth of a point, dominant seasons, double championships and battles that went all the way to the final weekend.
Weekend Highlights
Before the weather took control, the racers gave the fans plenty to talk about. Two rounds of qualifying were completed, and with championship points on the line, every position mattered.
- Orient Express Pro Street – Jason Dunigan, 6.294 at 241.93 mph
- DME Racing Real Street – Jamie Lopes, 7.222 at 211.63 mph
- MaxxECU Pro Xtreme – Brayden Davis, 3.952; Terry Schweigert fastest at 193.16 mph
- 1 Stop Speed 4.60 – Ronald Procopio, 4.602 in a 32-bike field
- HTP Performance Super Stock – Tim Cottrell, 8.804, top qualifier all season.
- Capital Brand Group 5.60 Index – Evan Melson, 5.601 in a 45-bike field
- Breezewood Farms Top Sportsman – Tom Dunham, 7.571 out of 117 competitors
Friday night also produced the weekend’s only completed race. Ivory Moye of Brandywine, Maryland, survived six rounds to win the Pro Performance Gamblers Race over Jeremy England of Ross, Ohio. Moye left on a .049 light and ran 8.816 at 149.13 mph on an 8.84 dial. England posted a 9.002 at 141.52 mph on a 9.12 dial. Both broke out, but Moye’s smaller breakout put him in the winner’s circle.
The 2026 XDA Champions
Orient Express Pro Street
CHAMPION: Jason Dunigan
Jason Dunigan didn’t just win the Orient Express Racing Pro Street championship; he put an exclamation point on it. The Jackson, Michigan rider stacked back-to-back victories at VMP and Rockingham, finished runner-up to Gaige Herrera at WPGC Bike Fest, then rolled into the finale and went straight to the top with a 6.294 at 241.93 mph, the quickest and fastest Pro Street pass of the weekend.
Dunigan finished with 425 points and a massive 151-point advantage, the largest championship margin in XDA this season. Behind him, the fight was anything but comfortable. Mike Sweeney Jr. edged Mark Rendeluk by just six points for second, 274 to 268.
DME Racing Real Street
CHAMPION: Jamie Lopes
Jamie Lopes came to XDA in 2026 and made DME Racing Real Street his territory. He went undefeated and set both class records with a 7.201 at 211.00 mph. Then he showed up at MIR and went right back to number one with a 7.222 at 211.63 mph.
Lopes closed the season 125 points ahead of Nick Hamlett, who had faced him in the July final. And Lopes was far from a one-class threat: he competed in three categories, finishing third in Super Stock and fourth in Pro Street while taking the Real Street crown.
MaxxECU Pro Xtreme
CHAMPION: John Collins
Two points. That was the entire championship.
John Collins and Terry Schweigert dragged the MaxxECU Pro Xtreme fight all the way to the edge. Collins scored 109 points at both VMP and Rockingham and entered the finale with just enough in hand. Schweigert, who had scored 125 at Rockingham, refused to let him breathe. At MIR he qualified second with a 3.974 and ripped off the class’s fastest speed of the weekend at 193.16 mph, collecting 48 points. Collins qualified sixth with a 4.117 and earned 45.
When the math was finished, Collins had 263. Schweigert had 261. After an entire season, three points-paying weekends and the abbreviated finale, the Pro Xtreme championship belonged to Collins by two points.
MaxxECU Pro Xtreme is presented by Billy Vose Racing, Fast by Gast, Dunigan Racing, DME Racing, Grothus Dragbikes, Harley Haul, Rob Bush Motorsports, Robinson Industries, Schnitz Racing, Timblin Chassis, and Worldwide Bearings,Pro PerformanceandMikronite.
1 Stop Speed 4.60 Index
CHAMPION: Ronald Procopio
Ronald Procopio knows exactly where 1 Stop Speed 4.60 lives, and in 2026, he parked there again.
Procopio scored wins at both the 190Hookup.com Superbike Showdown and WPGC Bike Fest, but his path to the championship looked much different than it did in 2025, when he had the title locked up before the final event of the season.
This time, Procopio arrived at the finale with just a 57-point lead and Boo Brown, Gary Clontz, Harvey Hubbard and Alan Fields all knocking on his door, ready for a shot at ending his reign.
But with the Fall Nationals cut short before eliminations could begin, they never got that chance.
Procopio closes out 2026 celebrating an incredible seventh consecutive XDA championship in the ultra-competitive 1 Stop Speed 4.60 Index class. Seven straight years on top is an impressive run, but now the target on his back will be bigger than ever.
HTP Performance Super Stock
CHAMPION: Tim Cottrell
Three completed races. Three wins. No losses.
Tim Cottrell successfully defended his HTP Performance Super Stock championship with a perfect elimination record at every event the class completed. He was equally dominant in qualifying, taking the number-one spot at every race and making himself the man everyone in the class was chasing.
But some young blood showed up ready to challenge the champ.
Sawyer Williford proved the family racing blood runs deep, putting together an impressive inaugural season that included two runner-up finishes and quickly establishing himself as one of the biggest threats to Cottrell’s reign.
In the end, Cottrell finished the season 88 points ahead of Williford and left no question who owned Super Stock in 2026.
Running of the Bulls
The Bulls don’t do quiet. They don’t do polite. They line up, lock in and settle it the way grudge racing was built to be settled – on the track.
The weather may have kept the final shots from being fired at MIR, but by the time the points were counted, the 2026 Bulls champions had already put enough work in to claim their territory.
AGM Boosted Bulls
CHAMPION: Alex Moore / Hulkamania
Boost was up, and the pressure stayed on all season in AGM Boosted Bulls. Alex Moore built his championship the hard way – round by round, point by point.
Louis Revellino and Geisha came swinging at WPGC Bike Fest and took the win, keeping Moore looking over his shoulder heading into the finale. But the 12-point cushion Moore carried out of July survived the weather-shortened weekend. The Boosted Bulls crown belongs to Alex Moore.
Shore Car Wash Solutions Nitrous Bulls
CHAMPION: David Fondon / Only Fans
Everybody had a shot at Only Fans. Nobody got it done.
David Fondon and Only Fans straight-up owned Shore Car Wash Solutions Nitrous Bulls in 2026, sweeping all three completed events and taking down Billy Ammons, Lavar Dell, and Cody Lowe in the finals. Three races. Three wins. No sharing.
Fondon closed the year 105 points clear of Gavin McMichael and put an exclamation point on one of the most dominant Bulls seasons of 2026.
Monster Bulls
CHAMPION: Crow Teasley / Unhinged
Unhinged came back for another crown.
After claiming the Monster Bulls championship in 2024, Crow Teasley returned to the top in 2026. He sat out the MTC Summer Nationals, but when he showed up, he made it count. A win at the 190Hookup.com Superbike Showdown followed by a runner-up finish at WPGC Bike Fest stacked the points and put Unhinged in championship position.
But nobody was handing this one over. Josh Eubanks and Dylan Wood both found the winner’s circle during the season, keeping the Monster Bulls battle wide open and proving there was no shortage of bikes ready to take a shot at the crown.
When the racing stopped and the points were counted, Teasley and Unhinged were back where they had been before, on top of Monster Bulls, taking the 2026 championship by 25 points.
Tommie’s Motorsports DMV Bulls
CHAMPION: Gavin McMichael / Stock Market
DMV Bulls is home turf warfare, and Gavin McMichael came out of it with the crown.
McMichael, Mike Davis and Myles Taylor all found the winner’s circle in 2026, making every event a fight for control of the points. But McMichael was the only one to back up a win with a runner-up finish, and that extra trip to the final round made the difference in the championship chase.
While the wins were spread around, McMichael and Stock Market kept stacking points. That consistency built a 48-point advantage and put the 2026 Tommie’s Motorsports DMV Bulls championship in their hands.
All Motor Bulls
CHAMPION: Gavin McMichael / Zips
No boost. No bottle. No mercy. Gavin McMichael and Zips didn’t just win All Motor Bulls in 2026, they owned it.
Every time XDA completed an event, Zips ended the weekend in the winner’s circle. One race after another, McMichael kept collecting wins and stacking points until the championship chase wasn’t much of a chase anymore. By the time the series rolled into the DME Racing Fall Nationals, the damage had already been done.
McMichael and Zips closed out the championship with a crushing 114-point advantage over Jordan Angelo.
And All Motor was only part of McMichael’s takeover. He also captured the DMV Bulls championship aboard Stock Market and finished runner-up in Nitrous Bulls, giving him two championships and a top-two finish across three different Bulls classes in the same season.
Two Bulls championships. Three classes in contention. An undefeated All Motor season.
Gavin McMichael came to collect in 2026, and he’s taking an armful of hardware.
Sportsman Titles Go Down to the Wire
If anyone thought a weather-shortened finale would take the drama out of the sportsman championships, the final points sheet had another answer. Two championships came down to one-tenth of a point, and one racer walked away with two titles.
Capital Brand Group 5.60 Index
CHAMPION: Dustin Lee
One tenth. Not one round. Not one point. One-tenth of a point.
That’s all that separated Dustin Lee and Jimmie Miller III after an entire season of racing.
The two entered WPGC Bike Fest tied for the championship lead, both exited in Round 3, and arrived at the DME Racing Fall Nationals still deadlocked at 151 points. With everything riding on the finale, neither gave an inch. Each added 20 points to their total.
That sent the championship all the way to the tie-breaker — and Lee got it.
Final score: 171.1 to 171.
After a season of staging battles, reaction times and thousandths of a second on the racetrack, the Capital Brand Group 5.60 Index championship was ultimately decided by the smallest margin of any XDA title in 2026.
Breezewood Farms Top Sportsman
CHAMPION: Dustin Lee
One championship wasn’t enough for Dustin Lee.
After surviving the razor-thin battle for the 5.60 Index crown, Lee added the Breezewood Farms Top Sportsman championship to his 2026 résumé. Early-season wins built the foundation, and a runner-up finish to Jeffrey Santin at WPGC Bike Fest kept him firmly in control heading into the finale.
Lee made the field at the DME Racing Fall Nationals and locked down the championship with a 41-point advantage.
From winning by one-tenth of a point in 5.60 Index to taking Top Sportsman by 41, Lee proved he could win the close ones and command the points chase.
Two classes. Two championships. One huge 2026 season.
MPS Racing Pro ET
CHAMPION: Taylor Dunham
And somehow, it happened again.
For the second time on the same championship sheet, Jimmie Miller III found himself on the wrong side of one-tenth of a point.
Taylor Dunham captured the MPS Racing Pro ET championship 200.1 to 200 after battling through one of XDA’s deepest sportsman categories, a class that draws over a hundred entries at every event.
When the final numbers were calculated, Dunham had the championship by the narrowest of margins.
For Miller, the numbers were almost unbelievable. He missed the Pro ET championship by a tenth. He missed the 5.60 Index championship by a tenth. Two championship battles, two runner-up finishes, and a combined margin of just two-tenths of a point.
Few numbers could better illustrate just how competitive, and unforgiving, XDA sportsman racing can be.
Brock’s Performance Street ET
CHAMPION: Shayne Proctor
Shayne Proctor put together the kind of season that takes the calculator out of the equation.
After claiming the Brock’s Performance Street ET championship in 2025, the Indian Head, Maryland racer came back in 2026 determined to keep the crown. Proctor collected two wins and a runner-up finish, consistently going rounds and keeping himself at the top of the standings throughout the season.
By the time the final points were tallied, there was plenty of daylight between Proctor and the rest of the field. He finished with a commanding 72-point advantage, successfully defending his Brock’s Performance Street ET championship with Michael McAllister and Calvin Walton following in the standings.
Back-to-back championships. Two wins. One runner-up. And another year on top.
Proctor didn’t just defend the title in 2026, he made it clear that anyone coming for the Street ET crown in 2027 will have to go through him.
A Season That Refused to Quit
The 2026 season will be remembered for the races that happened. It challenged schedules, budgets, patience and championship plans. It forced XDA to make decisions no promoter wants to make and racers to adapt again and again.
But adversity has been part of XDA’s story for 26 years, and so has the response: keep showing up, keep racing and keep moving forward.
Congratulations to the racers who earned championships across 14 XDA classes in 2026. Thank you to every racer and crew member who made the trip to Budds Creek, the team at Maryland International Raceway, DME Racing and every class and series sponsor who continued to support XDA through a demanding season.
