Persistent showers put a stop to Friday’s on-track action at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals, forcing officials to postpone all professional qualifying and push the entire program into a packed Saturday schedule at historic Pomona.
NHRA will now kick off qualifying at 10 a.m. PT on Saturday, leading with Top Fuel and Funny Car, followed by Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle. Teams will return for a second shot at the ladder at 12:30 p.m. PT, setting the stage for a high-pressure final-race weekend where both event wins and world championships are on the line.
Sportsman fans won’t miss out either — Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car eliminations will get rolling early at 9:15 a.m. PT, with another session at 12 p.m. PT.
Gates open at 7:30 a.m., and with the entire weekend compressed by the incoming storm system, Saturday promises one of the most intense single-day qualifying slates Pomona has seen in years.
