Hey, Hey, Hay! Last Saturday we decided to take our 1969 Pontiac GTO with a 535 CI Pontiac Engine to a somewhat local (1.5 hours away) no prep race at Willsey’s Outlaw Dragstrip near Sallisaw Oklahoma. Car count was pretty low for a “Big” Race which makes me pretty sad about the future of Drag Racing. The weather was great, the track was dry, and the parking was good! The Racers in attendance were “Ballers” other than a couple of us but I have never been concerned about those types of Stat’s because in Racing anyone can have their day! The GTO sounded healthy and spirit’s were high but as we know anything can happen!
