There are many different storylines to follow in the world of NHRA Mission Foods Series drag racing, and that much was evident in this week’s new episode of Chasing Speed, VICE’s NHRA docuseries. From Jasmine Salinas and Ida Zetterström discussing the challenges of finding funding to a behind-the-scenes look at Shawn Reed’s harrowing Seattle crash, Episode 4 dove into some of the harsh realities of professional drag racing.
Viewers also get to hear from drivers like Matt Hagan, Austin Prock, Leah Pruett, Tony Stewart, Shawn Langdon, Antron Brown, J.R. Todd, and even big-money bracket racer Cory Gulitti. There’s a lot going on in this episode, but like the past three episodes, it’s a really cool look at the personalities that drive this sport.
