Racers from both the Funny Car Chaos and Nitro Chaos series descended upon America’s Racetrack at Summit Motorsports Park for the inaugural Chaos Supernationals presented by Comp Cams. While rain may have forced the finals to be run on Sunday, the close racing created a successful event. Photos by Dave Oakes highlight the action.
Dave Hill captured his first event win with a 3.61 over Gary Wheeler’s game 3.67 in the Nitro “A” final.

Joe Pirrone, driving the Screamin’ Eagle Trans-Am, took out #1 “C” qualifier Jordon Ballew in the final.

Alan Bradshaw, wheeling the Dakota Pony II, defeated a red-lighting Zimmerer for the “A” crown.

In a battle of altereds, Chuck Lofton defeated Anthony Whitfield with a nice 3.94/176 mph pass.

Ed Kasicki’s Phenomenon Scott Rods Gasser won the burnout contest with this full track beauty.

The Neal family debuted the new Burnin’ Love GTO flopper.

Local racer Dave Belock led Nitro “B” qualifying at 5.00 seconds.
