Three days of great weather, outstanding track preparation, and packed grandstands set the stage for a memorable weekend as the Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals presented by Power Edge wrapped up Sunday with Doug Kalitta, Jordan Vandergriff, and Greg Stanfield claiming victories in the professional categories.
NHRA celebrated sellout crowds on all three days at Sonoma Raceway, and the racing matched the atmosphere from the opening qualifying session through the final round.
Doug Kalitta added another chapter to his already impressive Sonoma legacy, collecting his seventh Top Fuel victory at the Northern California facility. Driving the Aflac dragster, Kalitta stopped Jasmine Salinas in the final round with a strong 3.731-second pass at 339.36 mph.
Jordan Vandergriff capped off an outstanding weekend in Funny Car with a Sonoma victory. After qualifying at the top of the field, Vandergriff closed out the weekend with a winning run of 3.900 seconds at 330.72 mph in his Cornwell Tools Chevrolet, defeating Daniel Wilkerson, who crossed the finish line in 3.950 seconds at 301.33 mph.
Greg Stanfield once again proved Sonoma Raceway has been one of his strongest stops on tour. Stanfield used a quicker reaction time to score a holeshot victory over six-time world champion and Elite Motorsports teammate Erica Enders, driving to a winning pass of 6.551 seconds at 211.30 mph to secure the Pro Stock title.
The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series competitors also crowned event champions during the weekend. Clinton Neff captured Competition Eliminator, Jody Lang won Super Stock, Justin Lamb earned the Stock Eliminator title, Trey Vetter took the Super Comp victory, Douglas Sedmak claimed Super Gas honors, Kenneth Ratzloff won Top Sportsman, and Keith Winters drove to the Top Dragster victory.
With ideal racing conditions, excellent traction, and enthusiastic fans filling Sonoma Raceway throughout the weekend, the 11th stop of the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series delivered the kind of racing the historic Northern California event has become known for.
