The NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series made its first appearance at Maryland International Raceway over the weekend, bringing Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle to one of the Mid-Atlantic’s most established drag racing venues for the inaugural NHRA Potomac Nationals presented by JEGS.
DI contributing photographer Larry Brown was on the grounds throughout the weekend, capturing the full scope of the event — from nitro cars and Pro Stock machines on track to staging-lane prep, sportsman action, and track owner Royce Miller taking in the moment with the fans. The event also featured a strong NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series lineup, including Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Comp Eliminator, and Right Trailers Top Sportsman, adding to a historic weekend at MIR.
