PEAK Named Presenting Sponsor of Drag Illustrated’s 2026 NHRA U.S. Nationals Event Hub

PEAK becomes the presenting sponsor of the Drag Illustrated Event Hub for the 72nd annual Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals, the first brand to sign on to DI’s new event coverage platform.

PEAK is the presenting sponsor of the Drag Illustrated Event Hub for the 72nd annual Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals, live now at DragIllustrated.com and updating through Monday’s final round.

The Event Hub is a single page that carries an entire race weekend. Full qualifying orders for every professional class, round by round elimination results, live championship math, storylines, photography and schedule information, all in one place, updated after every session from Friday night’s first qualifying attempt through the winner’s circle on Labor Day.

PEAK was the first company to buy into the program when Drag Illustrated launched it in June, and the brand picked the biggest race on the calendar to do it.

“The U.S. Nationals is the ‘Big Go’,” says Brian Bohlander, marketing director at PEAK. “It’s the NHRA event that everyone wants to win. It has a history and prestige that thousands of racers from all walks of life spend a week in Indianapolis to race for immortality. Most of them are entrepreneurs and their businesses use our products.”

More than 860 cars are entered at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park this week across every category NHRA contests, from 22 Top Fuel dragsters down through a Stock Eliminator field that drew 147 entries for 128 spots. The race pays a point and a half, closes the regular season, and puts nearly $400,000 on the line.

“This event is the only major sporting event on Labor Day, so it gets a larger audience that may not be as familiar with the sport as our die-hard fan,” says Bohlander.

Drag Illustrated’s audience skews hard toward the participant side of the sport, which is the reason the Event Hub exists in the form it does.

“Everybody in this business sells reach. We sell the right people,” says Wes Buck, founder and editorial director of Drag Illustrated. “The people on that page are drivers, tuners, crew chiefs and car owners. They are the ones who decide what goes in the trailer. Brian understood that in about four seconds, because PEAK has been getting in front of that group for decades.”

The hub also does something a weekend activation cannot. It stays.

“A banner comes down Monday night. This page doesn’t,” says Buck. “Five years from now, when somebody wants to know who won the ‘Big Go’ in 2026, where the bump spot landed, who went what number and when, they are going to end up on that page. PEAK’s name is on it every time.”

PEAK’s history in the sport runs deeper than most consumer brands that pass through it.

“PEAK has been involved in motorsports, particularly drag racing, back to the 1950s as a manufacturer of nitromethane,” says Bohlander. “This sport provides more automotive DIYers than any other sport and that’s why PEAK keeps investing in it with John Force Racing, the motorsports community, and the loyal fans.”

That investment is visible on the property this weekend beyond the coverage. Jack Beckman campaigns the PEAK Chevrolet SS in Funny Car, carrying a tribute to John Force’s 1996 championship livery, and he comes to Indy fifth in the regular season standings with a mathematical shot at the title.

The Drag Illustrated Event Hub program launched in June 2026 and has since carried coverage of NHRA, PDRA and IHRA events, with sponsors including PEAK, JEGS, Liberty Gears and Larry Jeffers Race Cars.

The 2026 Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals Event Hub, presented by PEAK, is live now at DragIllustrated.com.
