Motion Raceworks Acquires Mark Williams Enterprises, Expanding Driveline Manufacturing Portfolio

Motion Raceworks has announced the acquisition of legendary driveline manufacturer Mark Williams Enterprises (MWE), further strengthening its growing portfolio of performance brands. The Iowa-based company has purchased 100% of the Colorado firm’s stock, bringing the 61-year legacy manufacturer under the Motion Raceworks banner.

Founded in 1964 by Denver drag racer Mark Williams, MWE quickly became a cornerstone of the racing industry. From its early beginnings in a small shop – where Williams honed his skills as a machinist at John Bandimere Sr.’s speed shop – to its present-day 32,000 square-foot facility in Louisville, Colorado, the company has been synonymous with innovation and craftsmanship. Over the decades, MWE has produced world-class axles, driveshafts, modular rear ends, housings, brakes, yokes, and thirdmembers, supplying not just drag racing but oval track, off-road, and street performance markets.

“MWE has been producing some of the finest driveline components in the world for more than six decades,” said Doug Cook, CEO of Motion Raceworks. “We are excited to carry on that legacy while leveraging the scope, scale, and marketing strength of Motion Raceworks to take the brand into the future.”

The acquisition adds to Motion Raceworks’ growing list of high-profile purchases, including TBM Brakes, RIFE Sensors, Gspot Sensors, and R&R Oil Pump Systems. According to Cook, Mark Williams Enterprises will continue operating from its Colorado facility, retaining its highly skilled workforce and maintaining its Made-in-USA quality standard. The move also positions Motion Raceworks to expand product development across its brand family while bringing strategic manufacturing capabilities in-house.

“Our path forward is simple: continue the tradition of quality while we innovate on and off the race track,” Cook said.

With the addition of Mark Williams Enterprises, Motion Raceworks now controls a wider footprint in performance driveline and braking technology, signaling its intent to not just participate in but shape the future of high-performance racing components.
