The Mid-West Drag Racing Series Double Header Smackdown at Flying H Drag Strip looks to be one for the history books as double races mean two full-points paying events at the Odessa, Missouri drag strip. Fans should expect an incredible show as Douthit Motorsports is locked in to provide a jet car shootout, a car show is in the works, a small tire shootout, and more!
The MWDRS is dedicated to making this event affordable for the whole family, offering $60 tickets for full 4-day access or $25 tickets Friday and Saturday and $10 tickets Thursday and Sunday. Kids 12 and under are free.
“This is going to be an amazing event, in one of my favorite towns,” said series announcer Luke Clevenger. “Jet Cars, Pro Mods, Car Shows, and an entire championship battle all in one amazing 4-day spectacular is going to be the kind of event you want to be at! Plus a great affordable price for tickets with zero parking fees means that everyone can make it. I can’t wait!”
Spectators can also experience what it’s like to be in a dragster thanks to Proud American Motorsports, who will be offering the once in a lifetime opportunity to ride along in a 2- or 3-seater dragster as it rips down Flying H Drag Strip.
“The MWDRS will bring the best competitors in Pro Mod, Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Pro 4.20, No Time 28 10.5, plus Pro Junior and Sportsman Junior for each race. One full race with qualifying on Thursday and eliminations on Friday night; and a second full race with qualifying on Saturday and eliminations on Sunday. With more than $110,000 in payouts, there is more than pride and points on the line here. Flying H classes will include Super Pro, 5.30 Index and 6.50 Index on Saturday. Get your cars ready, get your crew together and let’s make this the biggest weekend Flying H has seen this year,” said series founder Keith Haney.
The Double Header Smackdown at Flying H Drag Strip will be September 24-27, offering two full, seperate, points and purse-paying races.
