Princess Pink Lemonade Stand Returns to NHRA U.S. Nationals to Benefit Riley Children’s Hospital
The daughters of some of NHRA drag racing’s most recognizable drivers and team members will once again come together during the 72nd annual Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park to support the Princess Pink Lemonade Stand, raising funds for Riley Children’s Hospital.
The distinctive pink lemonade stand, built by Torrence Racing crew chief Bobby Lagana Jr. and friends, will be set up Sunday morning from 9–10 a.m. in the Torrence Racing/CAPCO Contractors Compound in the NHRA pro pits. Fans are invited to stop by for a refreshing cup of lemonade in exchange for a donation benefiting Riley Children’s Hospital.
The young “Ladies of Lemonade” participating in this year’s event include Haven Torrence and Harper Torrence, the five-year-old daughter and two-year old daughter of four-time NHRA Top Fuel World Champion Steve Torrence and his wife, Natalie. Granddaddy and Top Fuel Pilot, Billy Torrence and Grandma and Torrence Racing Team Owner, Momma Kay will also be amongst the royal subjects in attendance.
Returning to the Princess Pink Lemonade Stand are Aubrey Coughlin, 5, daughter of Pro Stock standout T.J. Coughlin and his wife, Brenna; Londyn Hart, 6, daughter of three-time Top Fuel winner Josh Hart and his wife, Brittanie; Averi Michalek, 5, daughter of Top Alcohol Dragster driver Corey Michalek and his wife, Christine; Vera Wilkerson, 8, daughter of second-generation Funny Car driver Daniel Wilkerson and his wife, Brianne; and Olivia Martin, 8, daughter of Torrence Racing cylinder head specialist Kris Martin and his wife, Amanda.
Also joining the group is Kamy Gadson, daughter of reigning Pro Stock Motorcycle World Champion Richard Gadson and his wife, Alexis.
New additions to this year’s royal court are Leah Richards, 12 and Macie Richards, 10, the daughters of Funny Car Driver Dave Richards and his wife, Serena.
“This has now become an event of it’s own,” said Natalie Torrence, whose company, Innovative Creation Experts, brought the Princess Pink Lemonade Stand concept to fruition in 2024. “Our No. 1 goal is to raise money for Riley Children’s Hospital, but this is also a great opportunity to teach our children the importance of giving back, caring for others and showing them that hard work can still be fun.”
The Princess Pink Lemonade Stand has become a special U.S. Nationals tradition, bringing together families from throughout the NHRA community for a cause that extends far beyond the racetrack.
