Three days. Seventeen classes. And enough nitro to shake Famoso.
The California Hot Rod Reunion, presented by Good Vibrations Motorsports and featuring Nitro Revival, roars back to Famoso Dragstrip October 23–25, 2026, bringing three days of racing, history and horsepower to one of the most legendary dragstrips in the country.
And yes — THE NITRO CARS ARE COMING!
Nitro-burning Top Fuel Dragsters, Funny Cars and AA/Fuel Altereds will headline the weekend, filling the Famoso air with header flames, pounding horsepower and the unmistakable sound and smell of nitromethane.
But the Reunion is bringing a whole lot more than nitro.
A total of 17 different drag racing classes will hit the historic Famoso quarter-mile, with everything from door slammers and gassers to altereds and classic machines representing generations of drag racing.
Pro Modified returns with the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Association bringing big horsepower and wild doorslammer action. The weekend will also feature NHRA Heritage Series Group 1 and Group 2 competition, along with the always-popular A/FX machines.
After a successful debut at the 2025 Reunion, the California Independent Funny Car Association (CIFCA) returns for another round at Famoso.
And keep your eyes pointed toward the sky when the Outlaw Gasser Association rolls into the water box. Expect smoky burnouts, wheels in the air and plenty of old-school attitude when the gassers come to life.
The California Hot Rod Reunion isn’t just a race — it’s a weekend celebrating the cars, people and history that helped build drag racing.
Every event ticket is an ALL-ACCESS PASS, giving fans access to the pits, Car Show, Vendor Midway and Swap Meet. Walk among the race cars, meet the racers, dig through the swap meet and experience the sights, sounds and history of hot rodding and drag racing up close.
October 23–25, the past isn’t sitting in a museum.
