Brian McGee Set For PDRA Pro Street Debut in Show-Quality ’67 Mustang

Longtime Pro 275 competitor Brian McGee is set to make his move into the PDRA Pro Street ranks with his stunning, show-quality 1967 Fastback Mustang.

A familiar face in both the radial tire and grudge racing scenes, McGee has decided to bolt on a set of 33×10.5W slicks to his Jeff and Patrick Miller-built Mustang as he takes on a new challenge in one of the PDRA’s toughest categories.

Under the hood sits a 959-cubic-inch Gene Fulton powerplant backed by a Liberty five-speed transmission and six stages of nitrous, giving McGee all the horsepower needed to battle the best in Pro Street.

As he prepares for his PDRA debut, McGee and his team are confident in the combination they’ve assembled. After extensive testing, the team has posted encouraging numbers and believes they have what it takes to be competitive from the outset.

“I enjoy the PDRA and supporting my sons, Connor and Spencer, who compete in Super Street and Pro Jr. Dragster,” said McGee.

“The radial stuff has been a lot of fun, but it was time for something new,” he added. “We never thought we’d have slicks on the ’67, but with the level of competition in PDRA Pro Street, there’s no better time to make the switch.”

McGee Racing plans to compete in the remainder of the 2026 PDRA season before chasing the full 2027 Pro Street schedule with sights set on contending for a world championship to go along with Connor’s 2025 Super Street world title.

McGee would like to thank his wife, Melissa; his sons, Connor and Spencer; Jalen from JBR Solutions; Kameron Koch; Brian’s Heating & Cooling; Gene Fulton; Bucked Up; Tub ‘ Towels; and Driven Racing Oil for their continued support and dedication to the team’s success.
