Stadler Trains of Switzerland has its US manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City Utah, and has an annual open house and train show.
Stadler makes light rail and interurban trains that are used throughout the world. The US facility makes trains used mostly in California but also in Atlanta and other locations in North America. Stadler has opened its shops in the past for an NMRA train show but these were stopped two years ago. However, they are back! And let’s hope they are an annual event from here on.
Check out the production floor of this impressive plant and a fun little train show.
Sure wish I could have gone to that, if you had announced it earlier this year!! I have a design for an Amtrak entertainment double decker car that would draw thousands of families to ride Amtrak!! It would have everything a kid would want to be entertained on any long trip around America and Canada too!
Really cool video, I love the way the two of you keep things light and fun as well as informative! Thanks for sharing!
Well as the story goes he came 3 times to the door 😊🙏👍
Water great way to combine fun and interesting facts about the manufacturer
Glad to see one of the best rail builders in the world growing in the US!
Actually, the Silverline trains are bound for Dallas Texas
You said that their largest customer is LA Metro for Silverline cars, but the Silverline cars you showed were for Dallas. The DART logo is front and center.
Wow that's really neat! Even though I'm not a fan of the ultra modern train designs, it's still fun to see. And a trainshow to boot! They don't have shows like that in Wisconsin, usually in less exciting places like plain old expo halls.
Tex Rail uses Stadler trains.
What?! I wish I knew about the little train show so that I could have attended.
I love it, so inspirational!
Yes because built a manufacturing facility in the US everyone will be using them for transportation
Call train was there first contract Atlanta
There are building a new street car for Santa Anna
Stadler and European companies make the best urban transportation systems
Uta is designing so new transportation right now
It's a wait and see
Aren't those Silverline trains headed to Dallas? They say DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) on them.
Never boring. In Toronto Canada their commuter trains are all double decker. Nice smooth ride and the views are much better on the second level
Fascinating! Thanks for sharing.
Hello from Kansas 🇺🇸
Nice film. Hi from Europe.
Are there any planned train shows for July?. We are in CA, NV, AZ❤ and later between Pittsburg and Boston. We would like to visit some events. Thank you.
Great vidio, like the new age trains, hummmm maybe a back to the future train day and ill run all late model trains. Thanks for the morning coffee…
I just heard on the radio the other day while I was truck-driving that they're supposed to start on a High-Speed rail between Chicago and st. Louis areas for 110 mph
I've been seeing these units, being truck hauled, for LA, parked for the driver mandatory rest periods, at Kettleman City CA. off of I-5. There have also been older units being hauled who knows where parked there.
