Porsche & Audi v USA’s Secret Weapon: DRAG RACE

What’s quicker – a lightweight sports car or a HUGE American pick-up? Well, it’s time to find out!

We’ve got our hands on an Audi TTS and a Porsche 718 Cayman, and they’re about to go head-to-head against the absolutely massive Hennessey Mammoth!

Let’s see how they compare. Starting with the Audi, it’s powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo that can deliver 320hp and 400Nm of torque. It powers all four wheels and it tips the scales at 1,420kg.

Then we have the Porsche. It’s also packing a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo, however, it only powers the rear wheels, and can only produce 300hp and 380Nm. It’s lighter than the Audi, though, weighing in at 1,365kg.

Then we have the Mammoth! For starters, it costs more than both the other cars combined – £122,000, compared to £47,000 each for either the Audi or the Porsche. It can also produce SO much more power than the other competitors, with its 6.2-litre supercharged V8 able to produce 1026kg and 1,314Nm!

So what do you think – can a big American pickup show these German sports cars how it’s done? There’s only one way to find out – LET’S RACE!

  1. Love that Porsche even though it’s the baby of all Porsches I’d still choose it over the Hennessy and the ttrs. Porsche is very reliable and faster as well on the track! Possibly the same tuning potential as the Audi. But being a porsche repairs we’ll be more costly only downside.

  2. "flat four" … what an uninspired name for such an interesting engine-concept 😥
You should aquire the German name "boxer engine" – the pistons box against each-other 😁

  3. you can see how inefficient american cars are. 1000+hp at 3200kg vs 300 hp at 1300 kg. So around 700-800 hp should've been a fair comparison for the 3200 kg. And it would lose. jeez. you need 1000hp of a deamon charger to beat a 550hp bmw. This is fucking insane
