Awesome interview! Thanks Herb
Herb is the man I'm trying to work a deal out on a 74 duster he built right now is amazing all the tricks and stuff he came up with a true legend even Buddy Martin has said Sox and Martin would have not been the top notch team that they where without Herb
Great interview! Thanks to you and a big thanks to Mr. 4 Speed for everything he's done for the sport and being such a wonderful individual. Best of luck and we'll wishes to you both!
Herb I'm from Wichita Kansas and knew Del Blades well and I thought he was Mr..4 speed but sounds like you were the man ! He was great here locally and I'm friends with a man that worked for him back in those days. Del told me how to shift when I got my first 4 speed and WOW WHAT an different thing !!!!
Herb your a class act as I've ever seen ! I've watched Big Daddy Don Garlits videos and I feel you and him are cut from the same type of mold !
The kind of person you take an instant liking to.

Great interview with a great driver and gentleman. This is the first of your interviews I've watched and now I'll go look for more of them.
This great man, and "Big daddy" Don Garlits are LIVING PROOF!!!,,, the Hemispherical head is THEE superior block design!! Nuff said.
Boy what a guy, great Driver, Builder, father, American! They don't make them like Herb anymore! Thanks for the memories, go Mopar
I've collected a ton of photos over the years including rare ones of Chrysler testing sessions of the Missile cars as well as a prototype full tube small block yellow Duster they were working on to compete with the Grump's smallblock cars. Herb is right about Killen and the computer in the trunk. One of the things being monitored was 60' times. There were probes in the front and rear wheel wells pointing at the wheel. I have photos of that as well. Fascinating stuff.
