Girlfriend Rides In 700+ Horsepower Street Race Car – 1955 Chevy Gasser

It’s the end of race week and I wanted to take Dani for a ride in car we have been road tripping all week. I think she actually enjoyed the raw cold blooded nature of this 1955 Chevy Gasser. Maybe a few hundred miles in this hotrod would change her mind….

After a week driving this hotrod, I’m convinced I need a stick shift in my life.

  1. ahhh, the simple joys of a hotrod that will pin you to your seat with it's acceleration. i so miss them, but after many years of only owning work trucks and kid hauling econoboxes, i'm finally gathering parts for another one that shits and gits of my very own, although i'm learning the hard way that they cost a lot more in this century, than they did in the last one, but what ya gonna do?

  2. Yep. Go 9” ford. T56 Magnum with the 2nd OD being a .5 and you’ll be able to run 4.56s.
It was good meeting you guys. Hopefully Newbern and Aaron & Emily got a chuckle out of the pics we sent.
Keep givin’ her as always 👍🏻

  3. Loved following along on this drag week! Put a Pontiac 9.3” rear in your ‘55. That’s what is going into my ‘55 and that was the rear end of choice for gassers back in the day.

  4. Upgrade your 55! Maybe 8.8 from the t-bird or junkyard instead of 9inch so the Tremec won't hurt the wallet quite as much. Put a 6 point with removable door bars and maybe some cutouts and you'll have a fun car for drag and drives, long cruises or whatever.

  5. Great video as always ya'll!! Love that 55 gasser. Yup believe Dani was diggin it thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy ya'lls time together
