Brothers bond over co-owned 1972 Chevy C3 Corvette | Why I Drive #20

Brothers JJ and Pierre Petersen realized at an early age they could do and experience more in life if they started sharing. And what better to share than some classic American iron? They pooled their resources and bought their 1972 Chevrolet Corvette sight unseen over the internet–either because they didn’t know any better, or because the idea seemed like a fun adventure. The ensuing road trip to bring the car home only strengthened their brotherly bond. Read more JJ and Pierre’s story here:

  1. Have a 72 C3 BB 4spd original car and a 68 LS swap car. Yes, headlights are easy fix, all of the vacuum stuff is in a c3, unless you're running a modded LS, then make your own electric conversions. The kits are way too expensive.

  2. Nice. I like the color, though I'm not normally a fan of yellow. I had a 72 roadster, 454 4spd, in blue. My first was a '73 coupe, small block auto, blue green. I had more fun in that car than humans should be allowed to have.

  3. I will say that the most beautiful Corvette years are 68-72, either though some people say 63-67, just like a lot of people say the 57 Chevy looks better than the 55, but u see that's what happens when Hollywood gets involved with cars…it creates the Bandwagon effect.

  4. I own the same yellow 1972 Corvette Stingray only mine has side pipes original side pipes. And I've had her for decades. And I've driven a lot of muscle cars. But I will say this to this day my 72 Stingray has given me the greatest rides of my life. As far as I'm concerned there's just nothing better then an old school Stingray.

  5. My twin brother and I split our first car between us in 1974 when finishing high school. I am more interested in cars than he is, but we did take a road trip in my MG and that was so enjoyable. Memories!!
