What will happen when you race an Audi R8 against an Audi RS3 and an Audi RSQ8? You think it would be a walkover for the R8, right?

Well, don’t be so sure! You see, we’ve brought in a tuned RS3 & RSQ8 and we’re about to see if the extra work on their engines is enough to bring down an R8!

So let’s see how they all compare. Starting with the RS3, it’s still packing the usual 2.5-litre 5-cylinder turbo petrol, however, following a tune, it’s now able to produce 550hp and 730Nm of torque! As for the RSQ8, it’s equipped with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can now put down 710hp! We’re not sure what the torque figure is, but we estimate it to be 900Nm.

So do these two cars have what it takes to bring down the R8 V10 Performance Spyder? After all, its 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 is an absolute weapon, that has no problem producing 620hp and 580Nm!

All we know is, there’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

  28. Why does a 5 cylinder sound better than a V10? The V10 seems to be the worst of both worlds. Not as snarly as a V12 and not as deep as a V8. The 5 though has a beautiful gruff growl.
