This next race was against a tube chassis fiberglass body truck with a 632″ Big block Chevy on 3 stages of nitrous. He told me it made 1050 horsepower just on the motor. I had drawn the left lane which was the least desirable of the two, and I am told there was some side bet money going on from his group. This was my only full throttle pass from A to B the entire elimination, and it’s a darn good thing, plus again I cut a good light. Also keep in mind that during eliminations the tree went from staged to green with no ambers in the middle so you had to really be paying attention!
