Red Line Oil, producers of high-performance motor oil and lubricants, will serve as the Official Oil of the Drag Illustrated Winter Series, race officials announced today. This partnership agreement is an expansion on Red Line’s support of the Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod, which will serve as the finale of the DI Winter Series following the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals and the U.S. Street Nationals.
“Mark Beatty and the team at Red Line Oil have been incredible partners, and we’re thrilled to build on that relationship with Red Line serving as the Official Oil of the DI Winter Series,” said Wes Buck, Drag Illustrated founder and Winter Series promoter. “We want to work with partners who believe in what we’re trying to do for Pro Modified racing and for drag racing in general. Mark and everyone at Red Line are believers. Not only do they support our events, but they also support many of our racers. On top of that, they offer products that are preferred by engine builders and racers around the world.”
Red Line is known for their line of motor oil, gear oil, automatic transmission fluid, and other lubricants. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Red Line Oil has developed a strong reputation in all forms of motorsports, but especially drag racing. Brand Director Mark Beatty regularly seeks out opportunities to support Red Line customers and the events that give racers a place to compete on a big stage.
“As a brand, we’re always looking for the right opportunities,” Beatty said. “Beyond selling oil, which is a big part of what we do, it’s forming a relationship with a group of people that are truly moving the needle. I want to be involved in something that’s truly making a difference. The World Series of Pro Mod, and now the DI Winter Series, turns its winners into stars. Spencer Hyde won in 2023, and all of a sudden the world knows who Spencer Hyde is. The same goes for Derek Ward. He was a tough racer, then all of a sudden Derek wins and he’s a household name. These events are making stars. They’re making history. They’re making the names and the history of the sport that will live on forever. Being a part of that as a brand simply makes us smile.”
A major aspect of Red Line’s presence at the DI Winter Series will be the participation of its #TeamRedLineOil supported drivers, which include 2023 WSOPM champion Spencer Hyde, three-time and reigning PDRA Pro Nitrous world champion Tommy Franklin, Canadian standout Scott Wildgust, and more.
“We work through our racers who fly our flag and are a part of the team,” Beatty said. “The racers on #TeamRedLineOil are fantastic representatives of the brand both on and off the track. I know several of the team members have been invited to participate, and hopefully some of our Red Line people will be on site as well.”
The historic Snowbird Outlaw Nationals will serve as the opening race of the DI Winter Series on Dec. 6-8, 2024, followed by the intense U.S. Street Nationals on Jan. 24-26, 2025. The DI Winter Series will culminate with the highly anticipated World Series of Pro Mod from Feb. 27 to March 1, 2025.
