The Carter legacy continues as Albert, Son of 4 Time FIA European Top Fuel Champion Andy Carter, is set to start making his Top Fuel Dragster Licencing Passes at Santa Pod Raceway over the Weekend of 5th/6th September with the ‘Nitro Vikings Top Fuel Dragster Team’.
For Albert, this opportunity has been years in the making.
“I’ve been involved in Motorsport my entire life” Albert Carter said. “I was on Quads and Field Karts at just Two Years old, then Motocross Bikes and Karts at Four. From Six, I then progressed into Top Level Karting and for Years was Practising or Racing 40 Weekends a Year, in all Weathers and Conditions, in the LGM, TVKC and British Championships. Then at 12, into Cars, winning a further 5 Championships in many different Classes including Brisca National Ministox, Junior Rods, Junior Productions, Junior Bangers. At age 16, I licensed in Super Comp at the Frank Hawley Drag Racing School in Florida. It’s in my Blood”.
Now comes the youngsters biggest challenge yet!
Konrad, Team Owner of the ‘Nitro Vikings’ said, “When Andy first talked to us about Albert driving the car, we thought this could be something really cool to be part of, Andy has made big history at Santa Pod and FIA European Top Fuel and now Albert gets the chance to start his own Top Fuel story in our Dragster, that is something special for us. We will give him a good car and good people around him, and take it one Run at a time. We are really looking forward to seeing him in the Car, and hopefully we can have some fun along the way”.
Andy Carter said, “I had been looking for a Drive for Albert and I knew that Ben Allum, who had Won a Championship with me in 2004 and (As Crew Chief) Tuned me to an FIA Win in Finland in 2005 was working with the Nitro Vikings. I know that wherever Ben is working, you will find an Organised Team, well prepared race car and a desire to Win, so it was an obvious step to make contact with the Nitro Vikings”.
He went on to say, “as far as Albert goes, he has grown up competing in and being around all different forms of Motorsport and you can see that in how he prepares himself as a Driver, keeping fit, eating the right foods, no Smoking or Drinking and getting the right sleep. OK, I’ve drummed it into him since he was 2 Years old, but he decided to listen and he has had to sacrifice a lot of things normal youngsters get up to, I’m very proud of him for that. We’re looking forward to working with the Nitro Vikings Top Fuel Team and thankful for the opportunity. You can be assured that as always, we will be giving 100% to get into the Winners Circle”.

We’re under no illusions, it’s going to be tough but as a family and Team, we’re up for the challenge.
