Photo Review: 2026 Summit Racing Equipment Nationals

Summit Motorsports Park is affectionately known as “America’s Racetrack.” There is no better place in the country better suited to hold the final event of the NHRA season to be held before the 250th anniversary of the United States. On the track, two new track speed records were set, and Ron Capps Motorsports swept the top fuel and funny car ranks. Photo highlights of the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals by Dave Oakes.

Maddi Gordon was the story in top fuel. She won her first event and reset the track speed record at over 339 mph.

Team owner Ron Capps joined her in the winner’s circle by defeating Jack Beckman with a 3.96/328.54 pass.

Points leader Shawn Langdon led Top Fuel qualifying at 3.695 and won the Mission 2 Fast 2 Tasty Challenge.

Austin Prock continued his resurgence by qualifying #1, resetting the track speed record at 337.41, and also winning the 2 Fast 2 Tasty challenge

Maddi’s dad, Doug Gordon, ended Sean Bellemeur’s perfect season by besting Bellemeur in the Alcohol Funny Car final.

Kevin Rivenbark won the 1st race of the JBS Pro Mod Series playoffs over Billy Banaka.

Dallas Glenn walked away with the $40,000 GETTRX Pro Stock Callout purse by defeating Matt Hartford in the final.

Alex Miller soloed for the top sportsman crown when Glen Butcher couldn’t make the final.

Matthew Cummings outran Jamie Noonan in the top alcohol dragster final, 5.28/273.39 to 5.33/268.81

In a classic KB Titan vs. Elite pro stock final, Elite’s Aaron Stanfield put a .002 light on Hartford for a holeshot win over Hartford.

In a battle of Vance & Hines teammates, Richard Gadson prevailed at 6.84/197.36

When Jonathan Allegrucci went into tire shake, Taylor Dietsch powered on by for the factory stock crown at 7.71/178.10

Dallas Glenn’s wife, Sadie, joined the winners’ club by taking the top dragster win.
