Orlando Speed World Launches $300k Import Series With FuelTech Xtreme Class as Centerpiece

Orlando Speed World Dragway is putting more than $300,000 on the line for the world’s fastest sport compact cars.

The Central Florida facility announced the OSW Import Championship Series presented by GRS-Motorsports this week, a four-race championship chase spanning September 2026 through February 2027. The headline act is the FuelTech Xtreme Class – the quickest, fastest level of import drag racing anywhere on the planet, where the elite of the discipline run in the mid-5-second zone at speeds north of 260 mph.

The schedule:

  • Round 1 – New Season Compact Nationals, September 12-13, 2026
  • Round 2 – World Sport Compact Challenge, October 21-25, 2026
  • Round 3 – Winter Sport Compact Nationals, December 4-6, 2026
  • Round 4 – New Sport Compact Finals, February 5-6, 2027

FuelTech takes the title sponsor slot, a logical fit for a series built around engine management at the absolute limits of the sport. GRS-Motorsports, the dominant global voice in import drag racing media, serves as presenting sponsor and will handle worldwide coverage of the chase.

“We are setting the ultimate stage for import drag racing,” said OSW owner Ozzy Moya. “With over $300,000 on the line and the fastest import cars on the planet running 260+ mph on our property, this is where legends will be made. Get all your cars ready because we are going to make history.”

The $300K purse positions the OSW Import Championship Series as one of the richest standalone import programs in the country, and the four-round structure gives the class something it has historically lacked – a season-long, points-based championship narrative instead of one-off race weekends.

Registration, full per-event payout breakdowns, and spectator ticketing will roll out in the coming weeks through Orlando Speed World and GRS-Motorsports’ official channels.

The green flag drops on Round 1 weekend, September 12-13, 2026.
