Photo Review: 2025 IHRA Milan

Rain, Rain go away has to be the new mantra for everyone at the IHRA. For the second straight event in the Outlaw Nitro Series, off-and-on rain showers on race day at Darana Raceway – Milan forced a majority of eliminations to Sunday. Photos by Dave Oakes highlight the winners and low qualifiers.

Lex Joon won his first U.S. event in top fuel with a 3.96 in the final over Mitch King.

Tim Molnar debuted a new Pro Nitrous Camaro with a low qualifier at 3.73 and event win over Tony Wilson.

Kurt Steding ran 3.68 in the pro mod final to take the win from local runner Wes Distefano.

Del Worsham set low e.t. and top speed of the event in his funny car final win over Dan Hix.

Scott Palmer ran a nice 3.88/293.73 Friday night for the top spot in top fuel.

Chris Powers put a .005 light on Dillon Voss in the mountain motor pro stock final to take the 4.17 to 4.17 duel.

Lorenzo “Killer” Brooks won his 1st top sportsman event when Jacob Elrod broke out

Kirby McLennan ran exactly on his 4.24 number to win top dragster over Dennis Brown.

Robin Roberts led pro mod qualifying at 3.63/208.43 but lost in round 1

Will Smith put the Samsel Racing A/FD in the winners circle at 5.39 over Rich McPhillips Jr

Jay Turner ran down Jordan Peterson with a 6.36 in the top fuel Harley final.
