Additionally, the U.S. Street Nationals will host the second 2024-25 season event for the FuelTech Radial Outlaw Series. The weekend will also feature competition in several additional classes like Outlaw 632, the fan-favorite N\/T No Time Shootout and more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited for the U.S. Street Nationals because we\u2019ve got the heavy hitters that weren\u2019t able to be at the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals,\u201d said Victor Alvarez, track owner and promoter. \u201cThen, on the flip side, many of these teams were just here a couple of months ago for the first event of the DI Winter Series, but they\u2019ve had time to get things refreshened for this second event. You\u2019ll see new cars, new engine combinations, and new parts getting put through the paces this weekend. Fans of Pro Mod, radial racing, and more are in for a show.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1335\" src=\"https:\/\/dragillustrated.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/US-Street-Nationals-2024-Saturday-406.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-80779\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">2024 U.S. Street Nationals Pro Mod final between Scott Palmer and Mark Micke<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cI thought we raised the bar at the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals, but the U.S. Street Nationals presented by M&amp;M Transmission is set to absolutely obliterate that standard,\u201d said Wes Buck, <em>Drag Illustrated<\/em> founder and DI Winter Series promoter. \u201cWe\u2019re talking about even better conditions than last month, so if the good Lord is willing, we\u2019ve got a flat-out badass drag race in store.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The M&amp;M Transmission Outlaw Pro Mod presented by FuelTech &amp; PJS Racing entry list features more than 65 drivers who will attempt to qualify for the $75,000-to-win, 32-car field in the outlaw eighth mile. The drivers include defending event champion Mark Micke, the newly crowned Snowbirds champion and NPK star Kye Kelley, runner-up Ken Quartuccio, and reigning NPK champion Shawn \u201cMurder Nova\u201d Ellington, who is set to make his Pro Mod debut. The list also includes standouts from numerous Pro Mod groups, including PDRA Pro Nitrous and Pro Boost, Mid-West Drag Racing Series Pro Mod, NHRA Pro Mod, NMCA Xtreme Pro Mod, and Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re sitting around 70 Pro Mod entries, which is just incredible,\u201d Buck added. \u201cSome folks are a little nervous about testing and the forecast, but on the flip side, I\u2019ve got guys who are literally driving across the country in untested, brand-new race cars, ready to see how they stack up against the best in the world. It\u2019s going to be an all-out slugfest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s always been one of my goals to make Bradenton a Pro Mod hotspot,\u201d Alvarez said. \u201cWe\u2019re always trying to raise the bar for our racers, and in turn, the racers have supported us in a big way. Entries typically sell out minutes after they go on sale. A lot of the Pro Mod teams test here over the winter. They know what it takes to run fast here, making for tight fields in qualifying and side-by-side racing on race day.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1201\" src=\"https:\/\/dragillustrated.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/USSN_Mark-Woodruff_Chris-Sears-photo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68569\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>The U.S. Street Nationals is the second race of the 2024-25 FuelTech Radial Outlaws Racing Series schedule. Though Radial vs. the World won\u2019t compete this weekend, PST Driveshafts Pro 275 presented by Pro Line Racing will bring big horsepower riding on small tires for $15,000 to win. The radial lineup also features $10,000-to-win Motion Raceworks X275 presented by Precision Turbo &amp; Engine, $10,000-to-win Energy Manufacturing Limited Drag Radial presented by Callies Performance, $5,000-to-win TRZ Motorsports Ultra Street presented by Innovative Racecraft, and SP Tools Limited 235 presented by ICE Ignition ($2,500 to win).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On top of Outlaw Pro Mod and the Radial Outlaws, the U.S. Street Nationals will have TBM Brakes Outlaw 632 presented by Rife Sensors, competing for $5,000 to win, as well as the Mickey Thompson Tires N\/T No Time Shootout presented by Florida N\/T Racing, the Larry Jeffers Race Cars No Time Truck Shootout presented by Summit Racing Equipment, and the index classes: Billet Specialities 5.50 Index presented by SRQ Plumbing, Real Street 6.50 Index presented by Braille Batteries, and Red Horse Performance 7.50 Index presented by UPR Products.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe U.S. Street Nationals has something for everybody,\u201d Alvarez said. \u201cThe fastest Pro Mods, the fastest radial cars, some of the best vendors in the industry, and more. We\u2019re not just hosting races; we\u2019re creating experiences and memories. It\u2019s about more than just the cars\u2014it\u2019s about the people and the stories. It\u2019s going to be an amazing weekend.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1201\" src=\"https:\/\/dragillustrated.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/USSN_Greg-Blevins-Jr_Chris-Sears-photo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68575\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Bradenton Motorsports Park will offer testing Monday through Wednesday leading up to the U.S. Street Nationals, with qualifying kicking off at 9 a.m. on Thursday. A second session at 2 p.m. will wrap up Thursday qualifying. Qualifying continues Friday with sessions scheduled for 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and wraps up on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Eliminations will begin on Saturday as well at 2:45 p.m. and will continue on Sunday at 9 a.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201dWe see different weather at different times of the year, and it\u2019s all part of what makes Bradenton special,\u201d Alvarez said. \u201cPrepping the facility for something like the U.S. Street Nationals is a huge undertaking, but it\u2019s worth it when everything comes together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t wait for things to get rolling on Thursday. There\u2019s no doubt in my mind we\u2019re going to see some truly historic runs at the U.S. Street Nationals this weekend.
