The Minnesota-based team will navigate a solid schedule of nine (9) NHRA Lucas Oil Series National events and one (1) scheduled Lucas Oil Series Regional event. An already busy racing calendar for the team just got busier with the addition of the NHRA Seattle National event.

Dean Dubbin, owner of Dubbin Motorsports, is excited about the schedule and the new event added to it.

“We make it a point every season to add a new venue to our schedule to keep the season exciting. For 2025, we chose to add the Seattle national event to our schedule,” said Dubbin. “When you race at different tracks and against different teams, you learn things that make your organization better. Having a big logbook of different tracks and different weather conditions makes you a better team and more prepared to compete anywhere on the NHRA tour. We visited Maple Grove Raceway for the first time last year and fell in love with the place – we are going back in 2025.”

Returning to Dubbin Motorsports and taking the lead in driving duties, Kirk Wolf has a renewed enthusiasm for the 2025 season. Wolf, from Odessa, Texas, enters the 2025 campaign with an energized confidence. The DMP Awnings – KENTEX sponsored team is looking to push for race wins early in the 2025 campaign, starting with the NHRA Gator Nationals at the famed Gainesville Raceway, March 6th-9th.

“I am anxious to get back to work and back to the track,” explained Kirk Wolf, driver of the Dubbin Motorsports A-Fuel Dragster. “This team has come a long way over the past three seasons. Last year was a good season overall, and with a few breaks here and there, we could have finished much higher in the standings. If we run like this team is capable of and knock out some early wins, then we will have options to make a late-season charge – especially if the championship is in the free-for-all it was in 2024. Many teams were in contention for the championship right down to the last weeks of the season, and we want to be in that position in 2025.”

Wolf and team owner Dean Dubbin will once again share the driving duties throughout the 2025 season. Wolf will have the seat for all but two events and will have a championship focus in the expanded season effort. Car owner Dean Dubbin will drive at his home races during back-to-back race weekends at Brainerd International Raceway.

The experienced father and son duo of Clay and Chase Copeland will once again oversee the tuning for the team. Longtime crew member and Car Chief Trevor Jelinski, who is responsible for the clutch, will continue to expand his role of learning the A/Fuel tuning science that makes the Copeland-built dragster perform like it does.

“This team has really grown into its own,” said Dubbin. “Everyone on this team is capable of stepping into multiple roles. We have grown into an experienced team that can run hard and turn the car very quickly between rounds if called upon to do that. At some races, the time between rounds can be as short as thirty-five minutes, and these guys have never missed the call.”

SR Driven Media | Kirk Wolf Racing photo

Wolf agreed, adding, “This car has no weaknesses. It leaves hard, charges through the middle, and runs out the back hard. It doesn’t drop cylinders very often, and that makes it consistent. All of that is not easy to find in an A/Fuel car. I’m feeling very confident as we head into 2025. We have a consistent car that runs good in all conditions, and if I do my job in the seat, and get some lucky rounds, there is no reason we can’t win some races.”

Be sure to follow Dubbin Motorsports under the DMP Awnings account on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram by searching @DMPAwnings.
