With crew chief Doug Kuch working with the team on a full-time basis as of Dec. 1, the team recently moved into a new shop in Mooresville, N.C., and a new chassis and engine components are getting worked into the mix as well. Foley also secured partnerships with new and returning sponsors for 2025.

“The offseason is always a busy time, but especially so this year,” Foley said. “We’ve been making investments towards our future in the sport, and now we’re starting to implement some of those investments. We’re excited to say Doug Kuch is expanding his role with our team by coming on full-time earlier this month. With his continued leadership and expertise, we’re looking forward to starting the season with some new parts and pieces that we believe will take us to the next level.”

Foley, a residential and commercial real estate developer outside Charlotte, recently moved his team from Brownsburg, Ind., to a brand-new shop in Mooresville, N.C.

“We’re extremely excited about the new shop,” Foley said. “It’s a lot more square footage and will just make for a more comfortable place to work. We can move in knowing that this is where the team will be housed for the rest of its career.”

Foley Lewis Racing also took delivery of a new car built by Precision Built Race Cars, which will go into service at some point during the 2025 season. Foley will make his season debut at the second annual SCAG Power Equipment PRO Superstar Shootout at Bradenton Motorsports Park in February before kicking off a 10-race NHRA campaign at the Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway in March.

“Bringing a new car into the fold over the offseason is exciting, but we’re going to take our time with it and wait to bring it out later in the season when time allows,” Foley said. “We’re putting brand-new AJPE 8 cylinder heads on the car for the PRO Superstar Shootout. We’ve gone through all of our blowers. We have to continue working on the power side to really try to keep up with these full-time cars.”

United Garage Door and Alloy Employer Services are returning for the 2025 season, with both brands expanding their support of the team. Returning sponsors also include Red Line Oil, Goodson Tools & Supplies, TechnoCraft Trailer Cabinets, The BAMR Company, PROTECS Inc., and ARP, while Insinger Performance joined on as the Official Fuel Provider of Foley Lewis Racing.

“United and Alloy both stepping up and increasing their participation with the team is huge,” Foley said. “Both of these partnerships were built off of B2B relationships. Myself, Austin Kardules, Guy Pierce, and the whole team have worked hard to find those relationships that could move the needle. We’re out there beating the streets every day to find out where we can provide value for our partners.”

Foley also noted the continued support of team partner Tim Lewis, who has raced with Foley for more than 20 years.

“None of this would have happened without Tim Lewis,” Foley said. “It is just not something I would have had the opportunity to do without his support. Every day I appreciate our relationship and everything that he’s done to allow our team to compete at this level.”

For more updates on Foley Lewis Racing, visit www.FoleyLewisRacing.com and follow the team on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/FoleyLewisRacing.

This story was originally published on December 18, 2024.

The post Doug Foley Shares Offseason Updates at Foley Lewis Racing first appeared on Drag Illustrated.

Following another season of progressive growth in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, Top Fuel driver Doug Foley and his Foley Lewis Racing team are working towards their best season yet in 2025.
