The series will increase its overall championship payouts by more than $100,000, with $25,000 going to the world champions in the headlining Pro Nitrous and Pro Boost classes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter celebrating our 10th season in 2023, we kicked off our second decade of world championship eighth-mile drag racing this season with the addition of Red Line Oil as our series title sponsor,\u201d said Tyler Crossnoe, series director, PDRA. \u201cThis partnership, as well as the continued support of our incredible racers, have allowed us to continue raising the bar. We\u2019re proud to make these announcements as we prepare for the 2025 season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The total championship fund for the PDRA\u2019s seven heads-up classes, four sportsman divisions, and two Jr. Dragster categories will increase from $95,350 in 2024 to $196,125 in 2025. The Pro Nitrous and Pro Boost world champions will receive $25,000, Pro Street and Extreme Pro Stock champions will receive $10,000, and the Pro 632, Super Street, and Pro Extreme Motorcycle world champions will walk away with $5,000. In the sportsman classes, the Elite Top Sportsman and Elite Top Dragster champions will get $5,000 as well, with Top Sportsman and Top Dragster champions getting $4,000. The Pro Jr. Dragster and Top Jr. Dragster champions will collect $1,500.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese increases bring our championship purses up by as much as 348%,\u201d Crossnoe said. \u201cIt\u2019s important that we reward the drivers and teams who chose to focus on pursuing a PDRA world championship. A major thank you to Red Line Oil and all of our other marketing partners for continuing to believe in the PDRA, our racers, and our programs moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Crossnoe also announced new marketing partners for the 2025 season. Killin\u2019 Time Racing signed on as a Major Partner offering contingency rewards. Performance Torque Converters (PTC) is the new presenting sponsor for PDRA Pro 632. Pro Street will also see updated sponsors in 2025, with Liberty\u2019s Gears stepping up as the title sponsor and Menscer Motorsports shifting to the presenting sponsor role.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe strive to constantly provide value for all of our partners, from class title and presenting sponsors to overall series sponsors and contingency sponsors,\u201d Crossnoe said. \u201cSimilarly, our racers believe in supporting the brands that support the series. We\u2019re grateful for our new and current partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, Crossnoe announced an update to the previously released eight-race 2025 Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series schedule. The fifth annual Summit Racing Equipment PDRA Pro Stars race will now take place Thursday, Oct. 2, as the lead-in to the Brian Olson Memorial World Finals, Oct. 2-5, at Virginia Motorsports Park. VMP\u2019s Night of Fire, previously held in conjunction with ProStars in July, will now bring a thrill show element to Saturday\u2019s schedule at the World Finals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe created ProStars as a special big-money, non-points race to reward the loyal racers who race with us on a regular basis,\u201d Crossnoe said. \u201cBy moving ProStars to run in conjunction with one of our existing national events, we\u2019re hoping more racers will be able to participate.
