Two-time NHRA Pro Mod world champion Stevie \u201cFast\u201d Jackson recently announced that he will compete at the 70th annual Toyota NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana, in the infamous grudge-racing \u201cShadow 3.0.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jackson\u2019s decision to race the \u201cShadow 3.0<\/a>,\u201d a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro,\u00a0at the U.S. Nationals comes from a deep-seated passion for the sport. <\/p>\n \u201cThe biggest reason, if I had to answer it and be honest, is because I want to race my car,\u201d Jackson candidly shared<\/a> via his YouTube channel. \u201cI haven\u2019t raced my car since we left Rockingham [Speedway], and after being off the summer for a long time, I just missed racing.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cShadow\u201d 3.0 made its big tire debut at the Drag Illustrated<\/em> World Series of Pro Mod earlier this year, where it qualified with the quickest blower run among the 60-plus entries and reached the semifinals. <\/p>\n \u201cWe were very successful \u2013 we had a great debut out on big tires,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n A significant part of Jackson\u2019s enthusiasm for the U.S. Nationals is the opportunity to showcase a newly developed racing engine package from Killin Time Racing [KTR], which will be making its debut in Indy. <\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve been developing a new racing engine package at KTR all year, and we\u2019ve been using the Shadow to perfect it,\u201d Jackson explained. He added, \u201cAt KTR, we don\u2019t sell crap and then let you pay for it R&D it.
