Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings<\/em> star Lizzy Musi has been open about her breast cancer journey since she was diagnosed in 2023. After undergoing various treatments in the United States, Lizzy announced that her recent final-round NPK appearance at Empire Dragway will be her last for at least the next few events, revealing she will be traveling to Germany for a special cancer treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve kind of tried everything here [in the U.S.], and I\u2019ve researched the doctor and treatment in Germany that can isolate my liver and treat it,\u201d said Lizzy.<\/p>\n

A little over a year ago<\/a>, Musi shared her diagnosis of triple-negative stage 4 breast cancer, which had spread to her lymph nodes and liver.<\/p>\n

Lizzy\u2019s father, renowned engine builder Pat Musi, also shared his thoughts on his daughter\u2019s next steps.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe medical system in this country just isn\u2019t what it is in Europe,\u201d said Pat. \u201cLizzy did all the research on this doctor and the treatment, and he reassured her that he could help.\u00a0 They\u2019re way advanced from where we are, and they don\u2019t have all these FDA regulations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Musi has remained positive and upbeat throughout her treatment and has repeatedly shared that drag racing has provided an outlet for her and even a distraction.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThis hasn\u2019t put me down,\u201d reassured Lizzy. \u201cI still have the fire in me. I can still do what I do, and it hasn\u2019t changed. I have such a huge support system that keeps me going. My family has been so supportive. It\u2019s incredible, and I\u2019m so thankful for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before making it to the final round at Empire Dragway, Lizzy raced Paige Coughlin<\/a>. After pulling into the water box, \u201cBonnie 2.0,\u201d Lizzy\u2019s nitrous-assisted \u201969 Camaro, has issues. Coughlin, seeing the problems they were having, made the decision to allow Musi and her team extra time to diagnose and fix the problem.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to give a shout-out to Troy Coughlin,\u201d said Pat. \u201cI\u2019ve known him for years, raced with him, raced against him \u2013 he raced me, I raced him \u2013 but the sportsmanship they showed was beyond incomparable. But like Troy said, \u2018We came here to race; we wanna race.\u2019\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Lizzy defeated Paige and then runnered-up at the event, landing herself second in the points to leave on a high note as she prepares for her trip to Germany. She will be accompanied by her mom when she departs on May 26th.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lastly, Pat acknowledged that many people are interested in helping Lizzy and can do so by reaching out directly to him, Musi Racing, or his brother, Ralph. He also cautioned that there are scams and imposter accounts on social media.<\/p>\n
