It\u2019s a win-win,\u201d said renowned engine builder Pat Musi. \u201cWe have probably the best group of customers that you could wish for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Located in Mooresville, North Carolina, Pat Musi Racing Engines provides a range of engines backed by a Pro Mod lineage. They manage every aspect of the engine, from crafting in-house manifolds to designing custom cylinder heads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI never liked doing what everybody else is doing because then I\u2019m only going to run maybe as fast as them,\u201d he continued. \u201cRight now, we\u2019ve got orders for our new 977 program rolling in for next year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) heavy-hitter Tommy Franklin claimed his third world championship driving his Musi-powered <span class=\"s1\">\u201c<\/span>Jungle Rat<span class=\"s1\">\u201d \u2019<\/span>69 Camaro. Additionally, Franklin won four races in six final-round appearances during the PDRA<span class=\"s1\">\u2019<\/span>s 10th anniversary season to secure his third world championship. In Franklin\u2019s post-race interview, he credited his partner in Pat Musi Racing Engines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI think we proved ourselves this year,\u201d said Musi. \u201cWe bounced back in the PDRA and got there with Tommy, who has been trying to get that championship back, and he got it back in pretty good fashion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Blake Denton\u2019s engine of choice propelled him to the PDRA Super Street\u00a0championship after a successful season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThis is something our team dreams about, to have two cars win a championship in a pro category,\u201d said Denton, referencing Franklin\u2019s win. \u201cIt\u2019s a big deal for us. Especially with a new car that we\u2019re not used to. Learning it and making it better, it\u2019s a good feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Pat Musi Racing Engines spans across several organizations, including the Mid-West Drag Racing Series (MWDRS), where <\/span>Keith Haney clinched the MWDRS Pro Mod title. This is his second MWDRS Pro Mod championship, and he was able to secure the accolade thanks to his\u00a0nitrous-boosted <span class=\"s1\">\u201c<\/span>Black Mamba\u201d 2019 Camaro. After Haney\u2019s win, he credited Pat Musi Racing Engines for its support.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThe preparation that we do, the service I get from Pat and his team, it all stems from preparation at the shop and constantly working with Pat,\u201d stated Haney. \u201cHe gets the motor back, he\u2019s always on time, and his customer service is wonderful. Pat\u2019s been very good to me, and we got him a championship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Haney continued, \u201cI owe [this championship] to Brandon Switzer and my crew.\u00a0Brandon tunes this Pat Musi motor, which has made us able to apply the power better with a Pat Musi motor. <span class=\"s3\">I owe our success to him and the team and Pat.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Lastly, Musi shared his thoughts on his appreciation for the PDRA and the Pro Nitrous class.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI come from Pro Stock, and I like the idea of everybody having the same equipment,\u201d he said. \u201cYou pulled up to that starting line, and if you beat me, I go back home and work.
