It’s race six of the SEGA Championship season and stop two on a Carolina swing that began in Rockingham, North Carolina, and will end in Greer, South Carolina. The high-revving, gear-banging, wheel-toting action that the Southeast Gassers Association puts on display is ready for their return to Mocksville, North Carolina’s Farmington Dragway.

August ignited SEGA drag racing in Rockingham for the gasser competitors, just east of Charlotte, North Carolina. This second stop on the Carolina swing places the SEGA show about an hour north of Charlotte. It’s been a long-awaited return for SEGA to Farmington Dragway. The last stop for SEGA on The Farm was in 2022. Since then, there have been major improvements to the historic track for racers and fans alike. SEGA has seen an explosion in its follower base with a combined 420,000 followers across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. It’s a good time to get back on The Farm and replant roots to the delight of fans.

What The Farm will yield out of its octane-fertilized furrows remains to be seen, but this is a critical time in the season. There are clear frontrunners such as Jerry Dean in Super Stock, who has four wins out of five final round appearances. Ted McKee, whose Rocky Top Missile has been on the mark with four wins to his credit in B/Gas. The quickest category, A/Gas, has Ben Christopher with three wins in the first five races. Those successes can’t prune the reality of the slog that C/Gas is facing right now, with Jerren Perdue and Todd Oden leading the charge and a rising Tony Tatgenhorst, who earned his first SEGA win at Rockingham Dragway after making up the Knoxville race. Or, that the last A/Gas final had Ken Rainwater, the 2025 B/Gas champion, making his first-ever A/Gas final with a combination that continues to gain pace on the competition. The SEGA competition has been growing great racing, and The Farm will certainly have the right soil to produce more.

The G-Force Racing Transmissions Nationals for 2026 will fire up its action on Friday at 5 p.m. Eastern with a SEGA-only test and tune ($20 admission). Saturday has qualifying scheduled for 5 p.m. Eastern with championship eliminations to follow, which will put SEGA action eventually under the lights of Farmington Dragway ($25 admission – $35 weekend pass). Southeast Gassers Association competition will contest heads-up, first to the finish line eliminations to the point of competition, representing an authentic 1960s racing experience.

For more information, you can visit www.southeastgassers.com or www.farmingtondragway.com – also check out the social media outlets for both the Southeast Gassers Association and Farmington Dragway on the major platforms such as Facebook.

The post Southeast Gassers Association Ready To Toil At The Farm For The G-Force Racing Transmissions Nationals first appeared on Drag Illustrated.

The top traveling gasser series in the world, the Southeast Gassers Association, is set to get down on The Farm – Farmington Dragway for the G-Force Racing Transmissions Nationals, August 21-22.
