The Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series announced today that the series will host its first PDRA Sportsman Spectacular as a part of the upcoming PDRA Thunder Valley Throwdown presented by Larry Jeffers Race Cars at Bristol Dragway on August 7-9. The Sportsman Spectacular will offer increased payouts for all of the PDRA\u2019s sportsman and Jr. Dragster categories competing in the fifth of seven 2026 PDRA national events.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSportsman racers are the backbone of our sport,\u201d said Tyler Crossnoe, series director, PDRA. \u201cWith support from companies who share our vision, we wanted to do something special to reward and recognize our sportsman competitors. The Thunder Valley Throwdown at Bristol Dragway is the perfect place to do it. The staff at Bristol Dragway has been hard at work preparing a brand-new concrete racing surface this offseason, and we are excited to enhance our third annual stop at Thunder Valley with the PDRA Sportsman Spectacular.\u201d<\/p>\n

Butcher Demolition and NexGen Race Cars signed on to present the $7,500-to-win prizes in MagnaFuel Elite Top Sportsman presented by PAR Racing Engines and Greenbrier Excavating & Paving Elite Top Dragster, respectively. MagnaFuel Top Sportsman and ATI Performance Products Top Dragster presented by TBM Brakes will compete for $5,000 to win thanks to Fulton Competition Race Engines and C&C Chemical Co., Inc. Mike Bos Race Cars is the presenting sponsor for the $2,000-to-win prizes in PDRA Pro Jr. Dragster and Classic Graphix Top Jr. Dragster.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Along with the Sportsman Spectacular, the Thunder Valley Throwdown will feature the PDRA\u2019s complete lineup of pro classes: Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous presented by Jerry Bickel Race Cars, WS Construction Pro Boost presented by P2 Contracting and Ty-Drive, Liberty\u2019s Gears Pro Street presented by KTR Drag Racing, PDRA Pro 632 presented by Mark Williams Enterprises, and 1320 Fabrications Super Street presented by Brian\u2019s Heating & Cooling LLC.\u00a0<\/p>\n
