The unmistakable rumble of nitro is back as the 67th annual Good Vibrations Motorsports March Meet officially got underway Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Famoso Dragstrip.<\/p>\n

Long regarded as the unofficial kickoff to the nostalgia nitro season, the historic March Meet opened under ideal Central Valley conditions, with sunny skies and temperatures in the high 60s welcoming racers and teams from across the country to the legendary quarter-mile.<\/p>\n

Thursday\u2019s action saw qualifying begin for the event\u2019s wide range of nostalgia and sportsman classes, with racers greeted by a sticky racing surface that produced strong early runs and set the stage for a fast weekend at one of drag racing\u2019s most iconic facilities.<\/p>\n

While the majority of classes began their fight for qualifying positions, the nitro-powered headliners\u2014including Nostalgia Top Fuel dragsters, Nostalgia Funny Cars, and the always unpredictable Fuel Altereds\u2014took to the track for test sessions as teams dialed in their combinations ahead of official qualifying.<\/p>\n
