Blown nitro, turbo alcohol, turbo nitro\u2014the STM Powersports Snow Outlaws snowmobile drag racing series has them all and will unleash the fury February 13-14! The St. Germain Shootout presented by Wisconsin\u2019s St. Germain Chamber of Commerce will see Outlaw, Pro Xtreme 55, and Pro Modified sleds launching with big wheelies and huge roostertails on the purpose-built, 500-foot, snow-packed racing surface.<\/p>\n
Your access to this action is on\u00a0West Bay of Little St. Germain Lake, with Friday night timed runs under the lights at 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm, and 8:00 pm. Saturday\u2019s eliminations start at noon with the finals scheduled for 4:00 pm. Best of all, Snow Outlaws races are always FREE for spectators!\u00a0<\/p>\n
Weather truncated last year\u2019s season at the end and this year\u2019s at the beginning, as the Rice Lake season opener was cancelled for lack of what the Southern states had too much of\u2014snow.<\/p>\n
Matt Musselman collected last year\u2019s Outlaw championship with just one win on his retro \u201cSno-Twister\u201d blown nitro Hypersports sled, tuned by Glenn Hall and Jack Romine.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Alec Gibas picked up the other win on his similar \u201cHulk\u201d sled. Both will be back and looking to take the win at St. Germain.<\/p>\n
But challenges are everywhere. 2024 Outlaw champion Dominick Ernst and the \u201cEagle-1\u201d\u2014owned by Snow Outlaws\u2019 own Chad and Jenny Nyhus\u2014struggled to adapt to its new blown nitro combination last year but will be on-point at St. Germain.<\/p>\n
Jeff Ratzlaff\u2019s OG \u201cThe Grinch\u201d was the first Hypersports-built screw-supercharged nitro Outlaw sled. Now in its third generation, tuner Howard Haack and rider Mike Allen will have The Grinch hunting for the stripe.<\/p>\n
\u201cBlack Mamba\u201d\u2014owned and tuned by Aaron Casler and ridden by Ethan Erhardt\u2014are up for the challenge, while Tyson Enerson and Jon Lentzkow move up in class for Outlaw glory.<\/p>\n
All of these sleds\u2014as well as many Pro Xtreme 55 mounts\u2014have been shortened to reflect new 159 inch track rules.<\/p>\n
One of those sleds that shortened in the off-season is former Pro Xtreme 55 champ Brian Sullivan. His \u201cJohn Deere\u201d Hypersports HRC-2 is ready to shred the snow.<\/p>\n
Ryan Santry\u2019s Hypersports Screaming Yellow Apex Yamaha launched crowd-pleasing wheelies each round on the way to winning at Rice Lake last year, then slowed as it tamed its launches in race two. Will the combo find a successful middle ground at St. Germain?<\/p>\n
Kyle Baynes won Pro Mod last year at Rice Lake, beating Tyler Stelton in a one-video-frame redlight final. But Baynes is swearing off the snow in 2026 and concentrating on other surfaces.<\/p>\n
Jesse Bruns won Pro Mod at Spirit Lake against 2-stroker Louis Goldbach. Expect them and Casey Rosenbrook, Devin Kirane and more to face starter Sam Shackleton\u2019s flashlight at St. Germain.<\/p>\n
Chad and Jenny Nyhus and the whole Snow Outlaws crew invite everyone out to St. Germain for the baddest racing on snow or anything else! There\u2019s no better Valentines Day aphrodisiac than the cackling smell of nitro in the Wisconsin air!<\/p>\n
