CRC Industries, a global leader in specialty chemicals for automotive and industrial maintenance and repair, is again showcasing its commitment to innovation and education at SEMA 2025 with the debut of a 1977 Chevrolet C10 Pro Street truck. The build is the newest project in the company\u2019s\u00a0Build for the Future<\/em><\/a>\u00a0initiative, created in partnership with TechForce Foundation to close the skilled trades employment gap by providing scholarships to aspiring technicians.<\/p>\n

The 1977 Chevrolet C10 was built in collaboration with longtime CRC partners, Jeff and Jeffrey Lutz (Lutz Race Cars), and NHRA Top Fuel star, Clay Millican, and includes components from numerous donating partners and collaborators. Key features include an Edelbrock\/Musi 555 carbureted big block engine paired with an 8-71 supercharger, transforming this mint-condition classic truck into a modern Pro-Street powerhouse.<\/p>\n

The vehicle will tour throughout 2026\u2014 including an appearance at Sick Week 2026, where Jeffrey Lutz Jr. will race it against his record-holding father, Jeff Lutz\u2014and will be auctioned in 2027. All proceeds will support\u00a0Build for the Future<\/em>\u00a0scholarships, provided through TechForce Foundation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese builds certainly turn heads, but their greatest impact is in the doors they open,\u201d said Len Mazzanti, chief executive officer at CRC Industries.\u00a0\u201cBuild for the Future<\/em>\u00a0allows us to take our commitment to the trades further by not only helping to close the employment gap but also providing meaningful support to the next generation of skilled technicians.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTechForce works every day to support the next generation of professional technicians while filling the skilled careers gap, but we can\u2019t do it alone,\u201d said Jennifer Maher, CEO of TechForce Foundation. \u201cThrough\u00a0Build for the Future<\/em>, CRC serves as an outstanding example of the important role corporate partners play in furthering that mission. This initiative not only raises vital scholarship funds but also brings added visibility to the opportunities and rewards of a career in the skilled trades.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is the third\u00a0Build for the Future\u00a0<\/em>project. Previous builds include a 2006 Pontiac GTO (2023), which sold at Mecum Auctions in May 2025, and a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air (2024)\u2014the first classic hot rod with a hydrogen-powered HEMI engine. The Bel-Air will be on display at the 2025 AAPEX show and is expected to be auctioned in early 2026, with all proceeds funding\u00a0Build for the Future\u00a0<\/em>scholarships.<\/p>\n

A number of celebrity guest builders and CRC brand ambassadors contributed to the C10 build throughout 2025, including Willie B (Two Guys Garage)<\/em>, Shaun Umscheid (\u201cWhat No Way\u201d Guy), Emily and Aaron Reeves (Flying Sparks Garage),<\/em>\u00a0and Mike Cotten (Faster with Newbern and Cotton)<\/em>, who served as the project\u2019s Pro-Street consultant.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Build for the Future<\/em>\u00a0scholarship awards financial support to 10 students pursuing technical school education (five scholarships for automotive trades and five for industrial or welding careers). Of these scholarships, three are awarded to women. Each recipient is guaranteed a minimum of $2,500, with the possibility of up to $8,000, depending on auction proceeds. Should an auction exceed $80,000, excess funds are donated to TechForce to provide additional scholarships.<\/p>\n
