The 48th annual version of the Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire at Summit Motorsports Park continued the tradition of the greatest one day drag racing event in the world. A crowd of nearly 50,000 showed up to watch what truly is an entertainment spectacle and not just a drag race.<\/p>\n

Jeff Lutz went a best of 5.90\/230 in his street legal Pro Mod Camaro.<\/p>\n

Al Lynch laying down an 1\/8th mile burnout in his AA\/GS Chevy II Scott Rod.<\/p>\n

NHRA Pro Stock made its debut at Night Under Fire with Erica Enders taking the win over her Elite Motorsports teammate Jeg Coughlin Jr.<\/p>\n

Ron Capps brought out the Army body. He defeated Cruz Pedregon in the Chicago Style final with a 3.85 to Cruz\u2019s 3.88.<\/p>\n

Fan favorite Clay Millican went up in smoke against Justin Ashley in the Top Fuel final.<\/p>\n

Night Under Fire is famous for its $125,000 fireworks display to close out the night.t<\/p>\n

Ernie Bogue took home the North American Jet Car Challenge trophy when Scotty Holdridge lost compression.<\/p>\n

Legendary Ohio racer Mark Pawuk outlasted the Factory Stock racers for the win.<\/p>\n

Justin Ashley sped to a 3.71\/336.82 over an up-in-smoke Millican in the top fuel final.<\/p>\n

Mike Janis\u2019 67 Mustang put down a 5.76\/247 on Billy Banaka in the Pro Mod challenge.<\/p>\n
