Bradenton Motorsports Park, one of the most important venues in all of drag racing, is undergoing a wave of improvements this summer under the direction of newly appointed general manager Josh Dauta. The track, which plays host to marquee events like the\u00a0Snowbird Outlaw Nationals,\u00a0U.S. Street Nationals, and the\u00a0Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod, along with FL2K and Cletus McFarland\u2019s wildly popular events, is getting a fresh injection of upgrades aimed at improving both racer and fan experience.<\/p>\n

In a recent video update<\/a>, Dauta outlined several key projects that are already in motion on the Bradenton\/Freedom Factory property. One of the biggest developments is the addition of a new cut-through road at the top end of the dragstrip, connecting directly to pit space on the Freedom Factory side. This not only allows for more organized and slabbed pit areas but also eliminates the need to use the Freedom Factory\u2019s main parking lot.<\/p>\n

Water drainage issues at the top end of the track, which created major headaches during events like FL2K, are also being addressed. A brand-new ditch has been dug along the outside edge of the shutdown area to keep standing water off the racing surface \u2013 making for a safer and more efficient race weekend.<\/p>\n

The staging lanes and burnout area are getting a major facelift, too. Years of wear and tear from race cars and jet cars have led to the decision to repave the entire section from the lanes up to the burnout box. Additionally, the grass areas flanking the water box will be replaced with poured concrete to improve function and aesthetics.<\/p>\n

Another big change is the relocation of the track\u2019s pit gate. The entry road, previously two lanes, is being widened to three lanes \u2013 including a brand-new lane on the opposite side of the existing power poles. This upgraded roadway will run from Highway 64 to the track\u2019s primary storage barn and provide a smoother, wider access path for racers and fans alike.<\/p>\n

The Freedom Factory gate is also being moved closer to the track itself to support the flow of traffic during big events. All told, it\u2019s clear that Dauta and the team at Bradenton Motorsports Park are moving quickly to ensure the facility keeps pace with the growing popularity of its events.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re really excited about everything that\u2019s happening,\u201d said Dauta. \u201cIt\u2019s all coming together fast, and we know it\u2019s going to make a big difference for everyone who comes through these gates.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bradenton continues to cement its status as one of the premier drag racing destinations in the world \u2013 and these upgrades make it clear that they\u2019re not slowing down any time soon.<\/p>\n
