With two wild rounds in the books, the chase for the inaugural\u00a0Lil\u2019 Gangstas Mini Championship<\/em>\u00a0is heating up in a big way. Tommy Hoskinson currently sits atop the standings with 1,100 points, holding a 200-point advantage over second-place John Salhi and a 400-point gap over Jimmy Dale and Josh Finfrock, who are tied for third.<\/p>\n

Series promoter Michael Poland admitted the BTR-backed points format wasn\u2019t an instant hit behind the scenes\u2014but that\u2019s changed in a big way.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, we weren\u2019t hyped about the points series at first, but damn, it\u2019s on a whole new level,\u201d said Poland. \u201cThe intensity and focus from every single person, from the chip draw to the race, is pure madness! The battle now shifts to Bowling Green, Kentucky, where two more nights of racing at Speed Promotions\u2019 $100,000-to-win small tire shootout could shake up everything. According to Poland, it\u2019s still anyone\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

\u201cTommy Hoskinson is going into Bowling Green with a 200-point lead in the Speed Promotions & BTR Mini points series. It\u2019s as tight as it gets\u2014the top half of the field still has a chance to win with two nights of racing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Names like Billy Hoskinson, Bob Bauer, Jeff Lutz Jr., and Nick Plewniak are all in striking distance, and with points on the line every round, one big weekend could flip the script entirely.<\/p>\n
