MMA legend Randy \u201cThe Natural\u201d Couture announced he will not be making his Pro Mod debut at the upcoming American Rebel Light Virginia NHRA Nationals, citing a need for more seat time before hitting the track competitively.<\/p>\n

Couture, who\u2019s been testing his SCAG Power Equipment-backed \u201937 Chevy Pro Mod known as \u201cAl Capone,\u201d shared the update in a video message<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been working hard, doing a lot of testing\u2014just not comfortable yet,\u201d Couture said. \u201cI need some more seat time, especially in Al Capone<\/em>. Bottom line is I have to have more seat time to be safe, not only for myself, but for whoever I\u2019m lining up against.\u201d<\/p>\n

Couture originally announced<\/a> his Pro Mod plans in April and then unveiled<\/a> his SCAG Racing Cats Eye Gold hot rod at the NHRA Route 66 Nationals in May. While he won\u2019t be joining his SCAG Racing teammates in Virginia, Couture is now aiming for a potential debut at the prestigious NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really wish I could be racing with my SCAG Racing teammates in Virginia, but it\u2019s just not there yet,\u201d he added. \u201cThat\u2019s the truth of the matter.\u201d<\/p>\n
