NHRA ON FOX TEAM EARNS 7 TELLY AWARDS FOR TELEVISION VIDEO EXCELLENCE\n

INDIANAPOLIS (May 27, 2025) \u2013 The NHRA announced today that its broadcasting team was honored with seven prestigious Telly Awards, including an impressive four Gold Tellys.<\/p>\n

The seven overall Telly Awards, which honor excellence in video and television across all screens, marks another stellar achievement for the broadcasting team and gives them an impressive milestone total as well. The team has now received an incredible 50 Telly awards in the past decade.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s total includes four Gold Tellys and three Silver Tellys.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrue accomplishment comes from finding what you love and pursuing it passionately,\u201d NHRA Senior Director of Production Rob Hedrick said. \u201cThe NHRA on FOX production team has a passion for storytelling and being rewarded by our peers with this industry award is proving that passion leads to success.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NHRA on FOX team was honored across the General Sports Category with four Gold Tellys, including the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals on FOX from Brainerd International Raceway, the Pep Boys NHRA Nationals on FOX from Maple Grove Raceway, which marked the first race of the Countdown to the Championship playoffs, and the prestigious 70th annual Toyota NHRA U.S. Nationals on FOX from Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.<\/p>\n

The team also received a Gold Telly in the General Sports Category for its \u201cProck Family Pride\u201d feature that detailed the unique family story of reigning Funny Car world champ Austin Prock, his father, star crew chief Jimmy Prock, and his brother, co-crew chief Thomas Prock, all working on the same team. Last year marked the first year the trio worked on the same team for John Force Racing, resulting in eight Funny Car wins and a dominant run to a world championship.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile these awards primarily recognize the broadcasting team\u2019s efforts, they indirectly honor the racing crews and event tracks as well,\u201d NHRA Vice President of Broadcasting Steve Reintjes said. \u201cThe compelling footage and narratives that earn such awards often stem from their dedication, precision and behind-the-scenes work that makes each race possible. Their commitment ensures that the sport is not only competitive but also engaging for viewers, contributing to the overall excellence that the Telly Awards celebrate.\u201d<\/p>\n

The three Silver Tellys also came in the General Sports Category and included coverage from the 2024 Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at historic Gainesville Raceway, the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals on FOX from Summit Motorsports Park and a \u201cWho is Jasmine Salinas\u201d feature that focused on Salinas\u2019 impressive rookie season in the Top Fuel ranks.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards were created to honor excellence in local, regional, and cable television commercials with non-broadcast video and television programming added soon after. With the recent evolution and rise of digital video (web series, VR, 360, and beyond), the Telly Awards today also reflects and celebrates this exciting new era of the moving image online and offline.<\/p>\n

The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work created within television and across video, for all screens. Receiving tens of thousands of entries from all 50 states and five continents, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies, and publishers from around the world.<\/p>\n
