The Chevrolet Performance Bowtie Nationals featuring GM Invasion will pack a punch with powerful and popular cars and trucks, June 6 and 7, 2025, at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.<\/p>\n

In addition to\u00a0Chevrolets, various models of\u00a0Pontiacs,\u00a0Buicks,\u00a0Oldsmobiles,\u00a0Cadillacs\u00a0and\u00a0GMC\u00a0cars and trucks will be a feast for the eyes, whether they are set up for the competition or the car show. There will be everything from classic to contemporary.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had the idea to create the Bowtie Nationals a while back, and once the relationship with GM opened and they were excited about the idea and offered the title sponsorship, we were on our way,\u201d said Chris Baker, who founded this event two years ago with his business partner, Ken McCormick, and is bringing it to Summit Motorsports Park for the first time. \u201cIn addition to Summit Motorsports Park, our partner tracks for this event are Beech Bend Raceway in Kentucky and Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in Indiana.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brian Tooley Racing<\/strong>\u00a0categories include\u00a0Super Pro,<\/strong>\u00a0Pro<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Sportsman<\/strong>, and\u00a0Box Bonus<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0No Box Bonus<\/strong>\u00a0races will also be contested.<\/p>\n

For extra enjoyment, the event will feature the\u00a0Gandrud Chevrolet Dyno Challenge<\/strong>, as well as the\u00a0Doug Thorley Headers Bowtie Nationals Burnout Contest<\/strong>\u00a0for those who fancy spinning their tires until smoke fills the air. There will be plenty to see throughout the\u00a0car corral<\/strong>,\u00a0swap meet<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0vendor midway<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will have 60 percent classic and 40 percent modern vehicles with General Motors bodies and power,\u201d said Baker. \u201cWe are looking forward to being at Summit Motorsports Park, and gaining momentum for this event there. I will enjoy visiting with everyone attending. They won\u2019t be able to miss me because I am 6 feet 7 inches tall and easy to spot.\u201d<\/p>\n
