  1. As a fellow racer and a retired FF/EMT of 28 years I was happy to see they didn’t pull him out of the car and let the first responders do it. Even though he has all the safety stuff you still can get a serious injury that’s not seen. If you try and yank him out you can cause more serious injuries. Glad he’s only bruised up . If you noticed the car hit the pole on the passenger front and busted that cage and shoved it back quiet far if he would have hit on drivers side and might not have been a good out come cage and safety equipment won’t help on impact of that nature.

  2. It may just be me but I think all drag drivers should have dirt car experience. Keeping a high horse power drag car should never be taken lightly.

  3. Great full he’s okay, that the safety equipment did what it was supposed to, hopefully he can get back to racing soon.
On another note makes me appreciate the lighting Discovery dishes out haha.

  4. I hope the tax payer or insurance company aren't on the hook for any damages. I'm sick of paying for others stupidity. Unpopular comment comment, but you tell me what's the difference between a street racer, vandal, or corrupt politician when you're picking up the bill for their crime?

  5. Glad the guy is okay, and hopefully nothing bad happens to him legally. It sucks though to see shit like this…I hate seeing stuff wrecked , it didn't look like it got loose or anything, saw something just before the big ball of sparks, part failure ?

  6. And this is why street racing gets a bad name you guys have to pick better places to Race no trees no telephone poles no deep ditches come on guys quit being stupid I'm a racer myself and I'm disappointing you I show up to a place that's sketchy like that I won't even Race I load my car and leave
