3. You guys tightened the spreader wayyyyyyyy too much on the slide hammer. You were forcing it to expand a little and make it tight as hell in that input shaft. Please next time only expand it enough to catch the lip of the bearing.

4. M52 and M50 oil filter housing fit to both engines. Best way is to see if it has aluminum block or cast iron block. M52 has aluminum one.
   And the m52b28 crankshaft can be mounted to M50b25, which technicly makes it s 2.8 liter

6. Its an m52 if it has single vanos on the intake side, surprised Tommy doesn't know that. M50 manifold and oil cannister, OG spec. M52b28 is the best bmw engine ever made, Russian get them up to 1000hp with headstuds and gaskets. Cast iron beefy block, great sleeves, not dual vanos so way less issues the the TU motors and M54 stuff. ms41 ecu which is super easy to tune. That e30 is a mint car for tuning man!

22. M50 had an aluminum housing and valve cover. I had a 93 325is and that’s what mine had.

24. You can change the oil filter housing though 😛 It´s a common thing to put the S50 (M3 E36 Euro) housing on the M50´s here in Sweden, when people build turbo. I dont know if they changed it based on the market. But it can definitely be changed.

25. If it makes you feel better, we had a E90 in the shop and we had to redo a clutch job because the owner installed the flywheel wrong and crushed the dowel pin on the crank.
