The Scrappers Sisters, Jasmine Salinas and Jianna Evaristo, are ready to bring their A-game to the Lone Star State for the NHRA Texas FallNationals at Texas Motorplex this weekend. The two talented drag racers will face off against the biggest stars in the sport with hopes of earning their first sibling double-up victory with Jasmine’s Top Fuel dragster and Jianna’s Pro Stock Motorcycle. With only three races left in the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, competition is heating up as each team wants to gain as many points as possible.
Jasmine is excited to race at Texas Motorplex for the first time as a pro. The Top Fuel rookie landed in the winners circle at the iconic event a couple of years ago in Top Alcohol Dragster so she knows firsthand how extraordinary it is to win at Texas Motorplex, just outside of Dallas in Ennis, Texas. She would love nothing more than to duplicate that victory behind the wheel of her powerful 11,000-horsepower Valley Services Scrappers Racing dragster.
“Knowing I’ve won at this event before definitely puts a pep in my step,” said Jasmine. “I’m going to give these final three races everything I’ve got so we can show potential sponsors what this team can do. The fans at the FallNationals are always incredible and we want to give them an outstanding performance.”
Jianna is making positive progress in the Countdown to the Championship with her Matt Smith-tuned Valley Services Scrappers Racing Buell. With 10 round wins to her season, she’s on her way to a career-best-performing year and holding her own in a category that seems to get increasingly competitive with each event.
“We love Texas! The fans are fantastic and everyone wants to win a cowboy hat,” remarked Jianna, referring to the custom cowboy hats winning teams receive at this prestigious event. “This is going to be an action-packed weekend and the stakes are getting higher as we get closer to the end of the season. It’s an exciting time for the Pro Stock Motorcycle category and I love being a part of it!”
