Killin Time Racing (KTR) will return to PDRA Pro Nitrous competition in 2025 with Elite Top Sportsman competitor Tim Paap. Fresh off completing a successful 2024 racing season with Jeffrey Barker as crew chief, Paap finished second overall in the PDRA Elite Top Sportsman points standings while quietly preparing to enter the Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous category in 2025.
“We are eager to throw our hat in the ring and do battle in Pro Nitrous,” Paap said. “I have a great crew, and who would not be excited having the team at KTR with Barker and Jackson (Steve) helping make this program a reality?”

Paap, by day, has been a successful business owner for many decades in the collision industry, all while continuing to compete in bracket races, NHRA, Mid-West Series, and PDRA competition. He found himself during a battle to the end in the 2024 PDRA Elite Top Sportsman competition and understands the importance of having the right people in the right places to compete at the highest levels.
“We have champagne taste on a Natty budget,” Paap laughed. “When you have the right people, anything is possible. The season ended last week, and we start testing next week for 2025! I am looking forward to keeping the momentum rolling.”
KTR has held multiple nitrous records over the years, with Stevie “Fast” Jackson tuning and driving and having multiple KTR customers. Jackson tuned the first-ever 3.50 pass in nitrous history, and KTR continues to hold the nitrous-powered world record. This will be an exciting opportunity for KTR in the PDRA series, with Paap and the winningest Top Sportsman driver in history, Jeffrey Barker.

“We have been waiting all year to make this announcement,” said Jackson. “When Jeffrey, Tim, and I sat down at Snowbirds last year, we put this deal together and began quietly putting the parts and pieces together to field a top-notch entry. PDRA Pro Nitrous competition is extremely tough, and we are not taking this step lightly. Tim Paap carefully prepares everything he does, and that fits our KTR style to a tee. We have been working hard at KTR on engine programs for all types of power adders and it is very exciting to team up with someone who wants it just as bad as we do. Nobody works harder than we do to put our customers first.”
KTR and Paap will compete in the Drag Illustrated Winter Series, kicking off with the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals at Bradenton Motorsports Park on Dec. 5-8. Keep up with all the latest news and updates at www.killintimeracing.net
