A long-standing tradition, the annual ‘Rev n Roll’ benefiting Riley Children’s Foundation, returns to the PRI schedule in 2025 after a six-year hiatus. The beloved fundraising event, taking place on December 10th from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., served for many years as an unofficial kickoff to the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show’s week of activities, where local motorsports fans could mingle and bowl alongside their favorite race car drivers, all for a great cause. COVID curtailed the event after 2019, but now, two Indianapolis residents and longtime Riley supporters, Mike Lewis and Hali Warnick, are spearheading its revival with support from Brownsburg-based NHRA team, JCM Racing.
“This was such a fun event that everyone looked forward to every year,” said Lewis, Vice President of JCM Racing. “Hali, Donna Fischer (Riley Children’s Foundation Director of Community Fundraising Programs), and I worked on this event together for so many years, and we all have such fond memories of Riley Kids and the racers, it was important to us to try and get it rolling again.”
“Those who attended the event previously will recognize the format,” added Warnick, who has held various roles in the local motorsports community for well over a decade, now serving as Human Resources Director at Evolve Transporters. “We’re returning to Western Bowl (6441 W Washington St, Indianapolis) and we’ve rented out all 80 lanes. We’re hoping to pack the place once again like we used to! We’re calling upon the local motorsports community to come out that Wednesday night, have some fun, and support a great cause.”
Lanes are available for $200 for a group of four, and individual bowlers can buy in at $50 per person. Lane and individual registration is now live via give.rileykids.org/revnrollforriley. One hundred percent of the registration fees will go to Riley Children’s Foundation. Lewis and Warnick will also be raising funds via an online Givesmart silent auction.
“We are so excited that Mike and Hali have personally taken it upon themselves to bring back this event, and thank you to the JCM Racing team for stepping up to help support their efforts,” Fischer said. “Riley families who have participated in the past were very excited to hear about the return of the annual bowling event leading into PRI. We are so grateful for everyone involved in bringing back this wonderful fundraiser.”
Joe and PJ Maynard, owners of JCM Racing, have a history of supporting community events that benefit Riley and are proud to be able to take a more active role in raising money for the nationally ranked children’s hospital foundation.
“Since becoming involved in the Indianapolis motorsports community a few years back, we have always made it a point to support Riley events,” said Joe Maynard. “We’ve long said, our priorities when it comes to philanthropy are working with organizations that support children and families, and veterans. As team owners of a Brownsburg-based operation, we’ve since come to know many people, some of whom work for our organization, who have had firsthand experiences with Riley. The work they do there is important. When Mike and Hali mentioned that they wanted to revive the bowling event, we immediately wanted to jump on board. It’s a great event and a fun way for the local racing community and their families to come together for a night and support a meaningful cause.”
